yesterday sent it to services center, this morning received a call and they willing to exchange a new one to me

Man I found a weird bug last night. Was trying to transfer pictures out from my mate 8 to my pc....  So as usual I plug it in via USB.

When I went to dcim folder it was empty. Replug try again.... Still empty. I copy the dcim folder out. Empty folder. But those pictures are still in my phone when I use the phone built in files manager.

I checked my mp3 files, my ring tones... All were missing too when I find it with pc, but it was still in my phone. In the end I had to rename the folder via the files manager for the files to appear again on pc. For example,  dcim/camera rename to camera 2, then rename back to camera... It show up again.

Weird stuff...

i tried to brain wash her with mate 8 also, me, her bro and her dad is using mate 8, but she anyhow also don1 to buy this phone. girl like ros gold, a good selfies phone, good batter and fast fingerprint sensor only, the rest of the spec is not relevant to her....

its a known issue of android and they havent fix dis after so many fucking version

Hey all.. If i were to unlock the bootloader to root the phone, the warranty would be voided. If the booloader is relocked , would it still be under warranty?

No idea on BL relock back...unless HW themselves has the tools or software to detect that it was relock back
One Mate7 user had got his set even exchanged when he relock back the BL - maybe he was lucky?

is there any service center in kl or selangor like how they have for samsung in 1 utama? service quite fast within 2 days max 3 days can get the phone back already.

Isn't there a service booklet that comes with the phone
It has a list of all service n collection centers in the country
It has been there for all my previous Msian HW phones

Why google keyboard consume a lot of data? When I change default keyboard to Google keyboard, it consume 4GB of my data?

How u enable Now on tap on this mate 8? Mine just google now when I long press

Aiya same issue with me.. today I receive sms from Celcom that i already use 70% of my data. omg my data was reset 2 days ago..when i check it seem google keyboard also consume too much data. now i already turn data to restricted from allowed in google keyboard setting. but i wonder why it consume to much data? benny888

I always only use Smart Keyboard Pro in ALL my Androids
It is my personal favorite. I had tested all phone stock keyboard, SwiftKey, Flexkey, Google etc but none of these can ever match SKP. It might not be the best but I really feel great using it in all my Androids
