After playing for 2 days. I found there is more pro than con if compare with Mate 7

Display: stunning and more bright
Camera: decent quality picture taken. but I found got pro mode.
Performance: didn't install any heavy graphic games yet.
Sound: definitely sound better than mate 7. I might thinking they adding bass on speaker. While best thing is using earphone, it have DTS mode for better quality listening music/song
Battery: I guess equal or same battery life with Mate 7 currently. I think my mate8 got bug when cell standby keep draining phone.
GPS: still same as mate 7 which very quick pointing direction
Fingerprint: I sure u cannot find any android device can unlock very fast within a second

Any1 having problem the cell standby keep draining battery

boss if i provide u my device info can u help me get the unlock code? cause my device cant activate huawei account ID.. no matter what it still shows 14 days left before i can use that account.

Seems one user here said 14 days no longer required

Waa so confident on the fingerprint scanner. If i show u the phone with unlock faster than a second will you buy it for me?
oppo r9 plus with 0.2 sec unlock.. (please say yes.. my gf want to buy this phone)

Didn't read much info about oppo r9. I think quite similar with mate 8 in term size and battery life just only processor quite downgrade (Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 vs HiSilicon Kirin 950) and OS still old (Android OS, v5.1 (Lollipop) vs Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow)

If let me choose I rather choose Huawei.

i tried to brain wash her with mate 8 also, me, her bro and her dad is using mate 8, but she anyhow also don1 to buy this phone. girl like ros gold, a good selfies phone, good batter and fast fingerprint sensor only, the rest of the spec is not relevant to her....

to those wanted buy accessory for mate 8, please do not consider nillkin flip case. it didn't have lock with magnet features. like mate 7.

For the case, Nillkin already stop using magnet since 2-3 years ago, due to ppl claimed the magnetic can affect the phone performace.

yesterday sent it to services center, this morning received a call and they willing to exchange a new one to me

When you register the HW ID did you get any confirmation back??

I did it on the spot. Reg Huawei ID and receive the u lock code shortly after that.

I registered and click activation in email.. after that login at the unlocking bootloader page ... it like just refresh.. didnt login the portal where i need key in the details

Try re register your ID again. Looks like your first attempt is unsuccessful. You will get a confirmation of your registration from HW

Man I found a weird bug last night. Was trying to transfer pictures out from my mate 8 to my pc.... So as usual I plug it in via USB.

When I went to dcim folder it was empty. Replug try again.... Still empty. I copy the dcim folder out. Empty folder. But those pictures are still in my phone when I use the phone built in files manager.

I checked my mp3 files, my ring tones... All were missing too when I find it with pc, but it was still in my phone. In the end I had to rename the folder via the files manager for the files to appear again on pc. For example, dcim/camera rename to camera 2, then rename back to camera... It show up again.

Weird stuff...
