I encountered the same problem when I firstly updated the firmware. The problem resolved after I disabled the Magnification gesture and High contrast text under the Accessibility. Basically the B170 is smoother than B103. Pls try as below :-

Go to Setting>Advance Settings>Accessibility>Turn off the "Magnification gesture" and " High contrast text"

To those having the WhatsApp and Wechat notification delay, pls do as below :-

Go to Setting>Apps>WhatsApp>Notification>Enable the "Priority display" and "Allow notifications" then choose the Notification method you desired.

I don't encounter any delay in notification at all after the changes.

I have both phones
Overall S7E strengths - better camera only. Display is higher quality but I do not quite like Amoled colors - I find them to be too bright and over saturated. The Mate even though at only 1080p doesn't lose out much to the naked eye. Gamers will prefer the S7e due to its more powerful chipset

Other features Mate8 can match it

Coming from a phone with poor batt life and replaceable batt, you will be lazy especially with casing and etc. End up using powerbank and probbly like me swapping to mate 8 eventually lol

This morning I've missed an event because the notification did not popup from Google Keep reminder. Tried to set another 'Test Reminder' at 1 hour later and it works. Not sure how Huawei notification works. I wonder do I have to set "Keep running after screen off"?

Another thing which is bothering me is that my Moto360 notification does not work from time-to-time. waiting for software update for now.

Just play the phone. The build quality is damn solid and nice! Performance is extremely smooth! For the price of RM 2,099 for 32GB, 3 GB RAM and RM 2,399 for 64GB, 4 GB is a great price for such quality build phone.
