i sold my note 5 instead

The best SOT I can get so far is 7 hours only

Note 5 win on camera only...
But no offend ... Mate 8 battery life really really tanky...
Both got CON & PRO...
Choose base on ur own favour...

Maybe too many apps? Mine 7 hours can use up to two full days.

Not many...maybe I surf net too much and play games too...haha. Anyway, 7 hourssot is pretty good compared to my previous phone. The same usage, I normally need to charge my previous s7e at around after lunch time.

I myself dont like note 5 camera as I mostly take portrait .cant accept the yellowish tone.

Gaming definitely drain more juice,I dont game so thats maybe y can get better sot.

Maybe your battery is faulty. I heard many reviews and users here average is 9 to 10 hrs SOT.

Same here... but i'm not complaining about that... reason because 7 hours is more than enough for my daily usage. anything can last for a full working day is great enough...

Guys, i realised whenever someone send photos thru whatsapp to me, when i click to open the pic , and then i press thr bck button to close it, the phone will always lag or hang.

And then says whatsapp is forced to close. Any idea whats the problem?

And your default storage, u all put phone memory or msd card?

I won't say it is faulty -.-
Those who can get more than 10 hours u won't know how they use the phone.
For my usage, I'm satisfied with 7 hours sot, I can disable this and that, avoid using some battery draining app or games to get more sot... But y would I do that just to get higher sot? It is not a competition...

Do u grant the whatsapp neccessay permissions e.g. permission to ur camera and storage?

I choose phone memory...Im actually not sure what the default storage meant.. Does it mean the app will be installed on memory card if we set memory card as default storage?

If you choose ext sdcard as default storage most app will auto install onto ext sdcard including its data files. Great for gaming app. Even whatsapp n all its data goes to ext sdcard. You need to try to see which app will not installed onto ext sdcard

Such never happen at all on mine n I received hell lots of photos n videos on whatsapp daily

I granted all permissions.still the same.

hmm.. so far i gt no problem with my mate8 and vry satisfy with it.. camera n screen resolution im ok with it.. cos its looks like my iphone.. i prefer nature pic colour.. with the battery performance and the multitasking performance is better than note5.. just no spen function..what im still beed to get use with it just the keyboard.. cos im still prefer iphone original keyboard.. currently im using swiftkeyboard.. if use huawei keyboard typo error 99..SwiftKey still better.. still need time to get use with it..

Chill chill. Belum buy. I still wanna go digi and feel the device on my hands first.

Yeah im looking for battery. Camera all i think can live with it. Layman like me wont really know the diff. Not like i am a professional.

Just worry i dont like the huawei UI. Been a samsung user for many years
