Hi guys, can comment on my theoretical setup below pls:

Asus 55uhp in router mode (first floor)
D-Link 850L connected to the Asus 55uhp at port4 then set as repeater mode with vlan600 tagging
Hypptvbox at livingroom downstairs connect to the wifi SSID that the D-Link created

I tested with Dlink router set to AP mode and connect to TPlink router's Hypptv port(Lan Port 4) and it work. I connect my Hyyptv box to dlink wifi and manage to watch Hypptv.

But for the 1st time setup, the sequence to on the device must be correct. 1st on the main router and AP, wait for both devices fully initialize then only on the Hypptv TV box. If i on the Hypptv 1st it won't connect properly.

You can try to play around if you have the second router or borrow from some one....

Vlan 600 have to tag to Asus 55uhp port4 then set dlink 850L to AP mode not repeater mode and connect to 55uhp port4, then it will work.

I already tested this setup....but make sure u can get nice wifi signal from your dir-850l where your hyppty setup box locate, as dir-850l have weak wifi penetration

Connect it to the internet port (Lan1-3), Lan port 4 is for Hypptv and it cant link to internet. Or connect to your wifi, and remember to disconnect the lan cable if using the wifi.

Wifi VLAN tag to IPTV.. use for Hypptv ..

Yes, but need a LAN cable to connect from LAN Port 4 to the router2 and select bridge on the WAN connection. I don't know does the Dynamic IP address will work or not, you can try it yourself and see how. And you must disable the DHCP Pool on Router2.

New dlink rounter management UI come with pre-configured AP mode to select. Just select the AP mode it will become an AP. If your router didnt come with pre-configured AP mode then you can manually set it.

1st set your second router IP(for example your main router is 192.168.0.1, then set your second router to 192.168.0.2),

2nd disable DHCP on your second router.

3rd connect your second router(Lan 1) to your main router(Lan 4).

If your router can tag vlan on wifi then it will work.

I fail to setup the HyppTV through the SSID with WAN tagged with IPTV.

My router is D-link DIR-850L, it dont allow us to change the encryption type for the SSID.

Hi Bros, juz had my UniFi installed. Anybody success to connect HyppTV wirelessly using TP-LINK AC1200 (ARCHER C5 V2) router?

hi, i disconnect the lan cable on my hypp tv box and connect to the wifi on the tplink c5 router, i manage to browse the internet from the browser app in the hypp tv box but the app store and the youtube app in the hypptv box  doesn't works. Is it possible to install KODI on the hypp tv box and use it to watch movie on my network storage?
