what happened to the phone?

I dunno. He only mentioned it exploded in his pocket.

ya wo...scary ler.....is redmi note 3g/4g malaysia set. Sirim sticker still there

Maybe he accidentaly turn on the torch when the phone is inside his pocket and too hot then....kabooom.
I experience b4. Torch accidentaly turn on and the phone super hot...luckily i notice it and take it out and off it [when i use redmi note 3g last time]. This is the stupid feature on redmi note when screen off.....can turn the camera and torch on when press and hold the softkey button.

Hmm scary but this happened to other mass production products too

The last time I heard Xiaomi phone catches fire was back in 2013 i think?
It was Mi2S but later found out the owner was using unauthorized replacement part.

I hope mine will lasts like any other ex-mi devices i owned before.

btw, my google play having force close problem now, yesterday still ok...
i follow guide at few pages back, until the last step update google play service to newer version, my problem is where to update? play store didn't show up

It will auto update when google play service detected new version.

in background and update quietly?
or it will show up at play store?

When some apps/games is running and need google play service it will start checking and updating [if got any new version]. How i know.....cause yesterday i open a game and it show error google play service not responding [but not on redmi note 2] for the 1st time on this phone. Then i notice my antivirus is scanning a new apps which is google play service. Then the game back to normal

after one week of battery calibration. It seems like getting pretty okay with the battery life. when fully charge 100% i used to fb for 5 minutes it still remain 100%. Today i'm half day with the mi band, together with the smart unlock, my bluetooth is on all the time. turned on the BT don't suck up battery at all.

ahhh cool, so i will ignore it until it happen...
btw my play store still not working properly T.T

edit: ok i open Google Play Games and it pop up a window asking to update Google Play Service if not it won't run.
edit2: after update it back to same version before uninstall 8.3.01, not the guide said newer version 8.3.03, hmmm

What is your google play service version now? Just check my RN2 Google play service is 8.4.89(2428711-248). Try clear the cache and run google play again or run game which uses google play service [game which can log in using google play account]. See it will auto update or not?

it go back to same 8.3.01 before uninstall, and play store still force close,
may i know what miui version u using?

i tried PVZ2 using google play, it works fine, and didn't update google play services.
i will try google n see tmr, gotta sleep now zzz

Mine also stop working but fix after latest update(need to clear cache after update)

Weird....my playstore works good.....no force close [touchwood ] but everytime i restart the phone sure it will show error "google play service not responding". I just ignore it

i tried search for 8.4.89(2428711-248) apk, no luck, there's -238 and -440 not for us.
and the update window bring me to play store download 8.3.01 T.T

Huhh? Playstore version 8.3.01? Mine is 6.0.0. My other phones also same version....6.0.0

Your RN2 is running with which miui version? Sounds like u are using other region version. Did u select malaysia region on your RN2 when u first use it?

lol i mean the Google Play Services under Playstore update is only 8.3.01
my phone is same with urs 7.0.12.0 global
