need help,i was testing the hidden folder feature,then i hidden a folder in the offline area,and somehow i couldnt unhide it :v..and also couldnt find where the hidden folder went,but when i select all,the folder is there,but it isnt visible nor able to unhide it,no problem with the cloud area or file explorer tho..only the offline folder area

Praising time again.
So this phone real usage actually feel like using a Snapdragon 800 device.
So smooth and less lag. Apps actually load very fast, even with just 2GB ram.

No found any major bugs yet. Games, chatting apps, social apps and web browsing all are very smooth. Just that heavy game will lag a bit with graphic. Calling, sms also no problem.

The battery is a let down, but still at least 3 hour SOT before entering battery below 20% on mix usage. Already get ready power bank and charger plug for recharge.

Charging time is very fast, even with different vendor charger.

Real original Malaysia set comes with Global ROM, preloaded with GAPPS, Google Play.

Phone may label comes from Hong Kong.
After you buy, you can check the phone imei number with Xiaomi Malaysia chat support to verify your phone warranty.

i can say it wont be fully english, even with global rom, the MiRemote is in chinese

MiRemote for my LG tv. I think it is English enough. I can see Chinese language when selecting the brand and I thought the brand are in Chinese?

For me, global rom is in English enough. Actually everything I use in this rom is in English.

agree,this phone feel as fast as my previous Snapdragon 800 phones,feel like heaven and earth with my other Snapdragon 615 phone(mi4i), my first mediatek Phone and i feel very impressed with this Helios soc.

but aside from poor battery(barely get it 3 sot),the camera imho still not really great,alot of noise,pictures come out not really sharp, sometimes out of focus, it's my worst 13mp camera

the speaker arent very loud as well,compare to the first gen redmi note,aside from that i have no complaint,software side are great,gps lock fast,no lags,miui are stable n functional.

but for this price,i think it's kinda hard to beat,except mi Malaysia bring in the redmi note 3,that would be a different story.

3hours SOT for 3G usage? Well, I got 2powerbank and an extra battery. So it good combination.

I finally got my RN2 from G5 after 3days of waiting!

Here's my review:
1. Camera's quality is very similar to Redmi Note, can't see much improvements in terms of the night shots. But the auto focus is pretty snappy.
2. Processor is extremely fast, no lagging at all.
3. Battery life is under average I would say, compared to redmi note. I'm on V7.0.8.
4. Screen is fabulous. Watching HD videos on youtube is a joy, speaker is loud and clear too.
5. A full charge from <10% to 100% takes 2 hours.

Hi, I have some questions to ask. Mine is on V7.0.8

1. What is the easiest way to root this phone without going through PC, for simplicity sake? I tried the twrp287.zip of the Method 2 in the miui forum, but it states that "signature verification failed" when I tried to install it from Mi Updater.

2. Is the font on 7.1.1 the same as 7.0.8? I heard that the font cannot be changed, but if its giving the same font as 7.0.8, then I don't mind upgrading, since I won't change my font anyway. Can someone on 7.1.1 post a screenshot of their font here for comparison?

3. If I have rooted my phone, do I need to unroot it first before performing OTA update or a reformatting, or it's fine to do that while my phone is rooted?

go find windroid, after flash trwp and it give prompt " successfully flash trwp, want to reboot now?", u need to manually reboot yourself, power + volume up, then u flash la superSU..b4 that make sure u paste superSU in your sd card or internal storage, if you let windroid reboot the phone it will revert back to mi recovery ..

2. The stock font is the same. Don't worry. People having problem when they change the font prior to 7.1.1.0, then they can't change back to stock or other font in 7.1.1.0.

Today I got 3+ hours SOT, 3g data on all the time from morning. No 4g coverage here. 50% manual brightness. No gaming today. For me I think it is good enough.

Have u guys use greenify? It seems like miui cleaner doing the job same like greenify isn't? When we clean the app from the task, it's force stop the app. So in the greenify app, the app is already hibernated. No need greenify la kot?
