FAQ

Q: What should I do if I found some mites on my hedgehog?
A: Follow the steps below:
1. Buy Frontline Spray from petshops or vets.
2. Disinfect the toys and cage/container with detergent.
3. Use newspaper as the bedding and only put the food and water dish inside the cage/container.
4. Spray your hedgehog thoroughly with Frontline and avoid the face area.
5. Leave the hedgehog back in its cage/container for 3 to 4 hours and bath it after the duration so that it'll be free from Frontline.
6. Repeat Step 4 3 days later to make sure that the hedgehog is free from mites.
7. Usually the quarantine last for 7 days, remember to change the newspaper everyday. If you still find mites on the hedgehog after the quarantine period, repeat Step 4.
8. Find out the source of the mites if possible.

Q: Can hedgehogs travel? Will they get carsick?
A: Hedgehog dislikes traveling. It'll stress them out, and they might vomit or give watery poo, sometimes even weight loss. Leave your hedgehog alone if such problems occur. Let them settle down and rest first, so try to reduce the amount of traveling for hedgehogs. When traveling, use small, cozy and dark tank or container like shoebox with holes poked for air ventilation. Put thick clothes or woodshavings inside the container to make your hedgehog as comfortable as possible.

Q: Can I put 2 or more hedgehogs together?
A: No! Hedgehogs are solitary animals, meaning they love to be left alone than having companion.

Q: But I see my/my brother's/my sister's/my mother's/my father's/my grandfather's/my great grandfather's hedgehogs look fine living in group.
A: Unlike human, hedgehogs do not love companion, they don't cherish the friendship and it'll make them uncomfortable and even stress if put together. Please seperate them.

Q: But I see they didn't fight oso?
A: NO POK! NO POK!! NO POK IN RK HOUSE!!!! YOU WANT ME TO CALL THE POLICE IZZIT??? Are you blind, don't understand English or retarded? Want me to tell you how many time it's against their nature???

Q: How you know it's against the nature?
A: You have to die to know the answer.
Q: Why?
A: So you can ask God lah!

Well, as taught by hao earlier, u will need to cut one side of the toilet paper roll so that it will not stuck to the head of the hedgie. But Ren doesnt really like to play with it.Maybe its because of the small tank with limited amount of space to move...

Well, thats the same thing that happened to Ren.He rather destorys all of the newspaper inside its hidebox and bury himself inside it than playing with the toilet rolls. He do play the ball i got for him once in a while though..Just worried that he doesnt play with the wheel if i get it for him. Then it would be a waste.. sweat.gif

blush.gif sorry mate, i received your 2 PMs but i was thinking of updating the owner list when V3 pops out. I do drop by this thread often but rarely posting up any updates already. Igel has slimmed down quite a lot (no more excess skin after giving birth), and this 2 semesters i'll be freaking busy with my Final Year Project. cry.gif Normally i will just place Igel onto my lap or allow her to roam on my bed when i'm doing my work tongue.gif

Here's the solution:

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Nov 24 2006, 05:36 PM)
Firstly get some easy to digest food. You can give a bit of canned food but I would suggest you starve your hedgehog for 1 day. Allow water but no dry food. Then after 24 hours, feed a few mealworms... wait a few hours and give more... increase it to more mealworms and maybe some crickets. The insects are easier to digest... after 1 day on crickets, give only a few pieces of catfood... use Royal Canin Babycat coz yesterday the vet at Taman Megah said RC Babycat is very easy to digest... then later in 3 days time, should have improvement.

How long you change Pickle's tank bedding? Once a week?

Except kitten pellets, mealworms & crickets, what else you all feed your hedgies? How to consider proper meal?

Depends on how thick for his bedding.

There's no proper meals for hedgehogs at the moment. Researchers are still striving to find the most suitable nutrient for hedgehogs. But you can feed your hedgie some fruits if you like, or you can just stick to kitten pellets.

hahahaha..aiyoh....headache...headache...
hahahaahaha...today a spent almost 100 for lasso..
since i bought him...i just do the frontline spray to cure mytes problem..
today...i brought him to the vet for general check up...
just to make sure that lasso is very healthy...

i went to veterinar yeoh....near the pet family at kelana jaya..
i did the check up..
what the doctor did was just check for the mytes and take the weight..
then luckily lasso poop inside his travel cage and i show it to the doctor to make sure that poo is okay for hedgie...and the doctor also took the sample and do the worm checking...

the result is my lasso is 100% healthy...i'm soo happy...no mytes also..
but i kena charge 36 for the services..aiiyoohh..pening2..ahahaha...

then i asked about the dry skin and then the doctor gave me something to add into lasso's food called NOVAcote PLUS....is this ok to give to hedgie??.
the doctor told me it is good for dry skin...and it cost me 30RM..
that make me spend RM66 at the clinic only..ahaha

i also went to pet safari to but oatmeal shampoo...
it cost me 33...aiyyoohh..tongue.gif

hahahaha..aiyoh....headache...headache...
hahahaahaha...today a spent almost 100 for lasso..
since i bought him...i just do the frontline spray to cure mytes problem..
today...i brought him to the vet for general check up...
just to make sure that lasso is very healthy...

i went to veterinar yeoh....near the pet family at kelana jaya..
i did the check up..
what the doctor did was just check for the mytes and take the weight..
then luckily lasso poop inside his travel cage and i show it to the doctor to make sure that poo is okay for hedgie...and the doctor also took the sample and do the worm checking...

the result is my lasso is 100% healthy...i'm soo happy...no mytes also..
but i kena charge 36 for the services..aiiyoohh..pening2..ahahaha...

then i asked about the dry skin and then the doctor gave me something to add into lasso's food called NOVAcote PLUS....is this ok to give to hedgie??.
the doctor told me it is good for dry skin...and it cost me 30RM..
that make me spend RM66 at the clinic only..ahaha

i also went to pet safari to but oatmeal shampoo...
it cost me 33...aiyyoohh..tongue.gif
*
Actually i think we got the same oatmeal shampoo. Is it the BioGroom brand?Actually there is plenty of oatmeal shampoo available on the market but the most expensive one that i see is the one i get which cost me over RM30.Most of them cost < RM30, which is about RM20++ or cheaper...lol...

Well, this is the weird thing. When babymoli came today and pick him up in that post, he sat still for almost 10minutes without moving a single leg.He just sat there as if its a photo shoot session. There are quite a number of pictures i took but thats the cutest of them all though..lol...

Anyway, i am wondering, how different is Chipsi Classic & Chipsi Super? Is there such thing as which one is better to get?

Is Mandisa hungry? You try take kitten pellets feed her. Sometime Ren will nip my finger when he's hungry but lazy to walk to his bowl sweat.gif . So you can try hand feed her the kitten pellet.

O.o Me & akachester are lucky a bit to own Ren as he can be handled by anyone as long the person let Ren sniffs his finger b4 handle Ren. Ren will not hiss or curl up. From the day i had him, he never curl up when i handle him. He only curls a bit during sleeping time.

babymoli,

Actually we really contemplating to keep 2 including Heart. Coz today was the first time I took them all out since birth and Heart is a sweetheart....we actually wanna keep only one female but Heart kinda caught my heart unexpectedly coz he is the only one that does not curls up at all. The rest take a little time to uncurl. He licked my finger all over. Very lovely little guy....

But they are all very sweet and I am confident to say that they all inherited the good temperament from both parents. Simply lovely...

Akester,

At first there were 2 people asking me to reserve for them. Guess they can't wait and have bought their hoglets already. It doesn't matter. These little quills are healthy and well so we are not too worry about not finding good buyers. So it is either 2 or 3 for sale.

Yes, almost all the hedgies cannot bear with long journeys. It'll only stress them in the end. I know there's one hedgie travelled from only KL to Melaka, the hedgie got stressed out that it lost the appetite, poo less. And you can see it lost the weight until it's like a starved animal which haven eat food for months. Very sad to see condition like this.

well, for this time, its kinda hard and i know i got plenty of pets to bring back. sitting bus somemore... really headache... but, i wont stop my passion just because of this. if this thing stops me from getting them, then, might as well dont go through all the trouble of getting pets. hmm... i also dunno how to take back my 20 tarantula, 2 gecko, 2 scorp and probably 2 hedgie... in bus somemore...!!!
well, i might get 2 seats gua... dunno how lor... but i love them... hehe
i will get my car soon, so next time can bring back all the pets, without much problem, only stressing it... too bad, it cant be helped, can they?
bout the boxes, i might not bring back all the big container, i will just seperate them to smaller container for the mean time, reach back hometown, buy new containers lor... no choice... haiz...

HARR?? This site is seriously weird. No, please do not feed your hedgies whiskas or friskies. Stray cat can get diarrhoea from it, what more a hedgehog?

Wah.... looks like a very dangerous site.... the person tried to feed onions... almost all animals can die from onions.... and cream? That's gonna cause lactose problem....

Hmmmm.... if posted this at an international forum, I bet the site would get a scolding hahahah... really wrong diet.

Whiskas is very poor quality food.... well, its not to say not edible... but in the long run, a hedgie can get health problems.

Once Pedigree dogfood was banned to be imported for months because some dogs died from eating Pedigree.... Whiskas was also banned once coz manufactured by same company as Pedigree loh....

Summore those 2 food contain unatural colouring.... food preservatives.... ugly stuff like chicken feathers, toe nails, beaks, skin, bones, mostly the unedible body parts are process into "by-products"... sounds ugly or not? sweat.gif

The protein in cat food is not enough for hedgies, so you have to feed them small amounts of other insects/mealies which is their major food in the wild.

I'm not sure about other supplements like Calcium though. Never/haven't see anyone feeding them with calcium powder or whatever.

There was also a website that said feed Iams catfood and we must keep hedgies in double storey cages... really wrong info coz hedgie cannot climb like hamsters and rats.... drop sure more painful mah... sigh....

Nopes... not enough if just catfood.... this is why we should feed gutloaded mealworms and crickets... I tried earthworms on Sparky but he didn't like them. Earthworms are very nutritious for hedgies.... in the wild they eat all sorts of insects... Oh yah... If you can get hold of mealworms pupas and beetles... they are quite high in fiber for them, Sparky goes crazy when I give him pupa and beetles... eat like real pig hahahah...

It is also known that hedgehogs eat slugs and snails.... erm... I won't try those hahahah.... who knows if the snails in the garden contaminated or not hahahah....

If you want your hedgie to get some vitamins.... you can get LM small animal Vitamin drops and put about 3 drops into their water bowl....

Just leave it there in the meantime.First bite will cause the it to like it so much until it will never stop.Ren dont like it either in the first place. That first bite is what needed to trigger that fella to chase for mealworms..lol..

Well... from what I know...30 crickets cost RM1 hahahah... but not all hedgies like crickets... need to make them taste it then only will eat.... avoid superworms... my Sparky won't even taste it.... at least he ate 1 earthworm b4 and a few crickets.... but he will never touch superworm.... I think got something weird inside it. I still say mealworms and their beetles are the best.

Now I got 100 beetles.... all for breeding hahhah.... but once I feel they are old, Sparky gets to eat them happily.

Heya Jon, I think you limit the amount of mealies you give Jojo until his diarrhoea improves. Last time when I stopped mealworms, it did improve. Plus, mealies are fattening.

I never see superworms b4 so i cant really know how to differentiate eventhough i know superworm is big. But i think the one i feed Ren are mealies. Bought it from a petshop where use that to feed birds.

Not really picky lar... just that sometimes when you introduce a new food to them, they are not familliar with the smell of the new food. So they won't try it until they have the first bite on the food. That's why sometime you see if you put different food together, they'll eat the one they used to and when there's none left, they'll try the newly introduced one when they start starving.

Don't lar starve him for a few days only fill up his bowl... You mix two together first, try to adjust the ratio if you want, like 3/4 for the food he always eat, and 1/4 for the new food, then leave the food there.

If you going out for more than 2-3 days, better take the hedgie with you or ask someone babysit for you. If not i don't think the hedgie will survive alone.

You try the oatmeal shampoo yet? I tried on Ren & his skin is getting better. Flaky skin is getting less.

The previous 2 rides, Ren did vomited. First time kinda lot & 2nd time less already. Then yesterday he didnt vomit. I think he started to get use to traveling. sweat.gif . Yea.. He's active during the traveling. Walk here & there. Poo pee around.

I think also need to depend on the road's condition. Highway less manholes. The road condition also smoother than the road in KL. When my friends helped me brought Ren back from S'ban. He didnt vomit. Only traveling in KL area vomit.

Depend on the hedgie as well... last time i brought two hedgies from melaka to kl using bus. I hold the tank with my hands all the journey to prevent too much of shaking. In the end, one vomit and the another i think it's fine...

Pls dun ask like that ler cry.gif ... If we can we wud keep our darling but we can't & most importantly coz we dun wanna be selfish & deny him the TLC he deserve... there are some personal matters which came up & its gonna be long term... so circumstances do not allow us to give him the attention we wud want to... our hearts are breaking... if there is someone who loves him & can provide Heart the best, we will let him go...

Yeah, would give Trin mother hedgehog of the year award because for taking good care of all the hoglets after all those scary stories we read on the internet about mother hedgehogs cannabalising their young.

Indeed, we're very proud of all of them...

Go planet!

Im interested in taking care of these things.

Are they easy to take care of? biggrin.gif
Do they poke you?
Is the environment they live in similar to hamsters? eg: wood chips bedding and kuacis for mamam

Must bathe them?

Oh come on....grow up...

You're staying in campus all by yourself. Why u bother? If you love your animals that much, just take good care of them and forget about the rest. There is no issue here. Not to say your mum stays with you on campus. Harry Potter also have his own OWL....

For goodness sake...no need to act like mummy's little boy...lol.....

You're big enough to decide what u want to do with your life...

So mummy say no now means you have to give up Mandisa?

If that's the case, it is really absurb....can't believe it.

I hope none of the planeteers are going to homes where mums and dads will make big fuss, if not poor them....

They consider easy to jaga if you follow the info in first 2posts. Some more they sleep most of the time. You can see here that all of us hold our hedgies with our bare hand. No prob with its quills.

Well, if you ask for opinion here, most of us would be grateful if you would know the information about hedgehog first before decided to take care of one. When you have all the info needed, taking care of them is kinda easy. They will sleep most of the time and does not need alot of attention.Just needed to clean up the tanks and check their health when you got it..lol...

Anyway, about the quills, i guess it depends on different persons though..You will need time to get used to it.I tried to hold Ren last time but the quills is kinda pointy and painful but when you get used to it or know how to pick them up in a correct way, it wont be a problem..

So far the only word i notice from you is "HARD to JAGA". I think the best you don't get a hedgehog. When there is doubt, you better not venture into it. Coz you don't seemed to be interested at all. If you have done the necessary research and feel that you want to learn and commit to jaga one, then it will not be hard for you.

Before a baby learn how to walk i wonder if he/she will tell him or herself if it is hard to walk....

wud about nail trimming?? Will the hedgie sits quietly for you to trim ?? Or will it struggle?? My main concern is nail trimming and bathing ...

Thought of getting a hedgie in a couple of months. But not much info found in the internet on proper care except bedding and food.

Actually you can read up the first 2posts to get info about hedgehogs. We learn most of it from that website & do our own research. Please dont stick to one website cause some will give wrong message. Compare few of them see whether they give the same or similar info.

You would never able to trim a hedgehog's nails in one shot. Sure you need few times to trim it. It is better to trim the nails after bath as the nails have been soften. How you trim the nails depend on you as well like how well you know your hedgie. Some hedgie are just nonstop walker. They are active like Ren. Cant stay still.

its hard to trim if they keep on walking or they keep curling. grumpy hedgie is almost impossible, but some can. if they are friendly and doesnt struggle, u can trim then. like it had been mention, trim them after bath, coz its when the hedgie's nails are soften. cheers... i am trying to let my jojo swim now. hhee...

You know.... many people got different ways of looking at swimming.... I for one would never agree to let a hedgie swim. Why?

By nature they are not swimmers.... you will never see a hedgehog swim in the wild and if they do, they most likely will drown. Coz when I bath Sparky... can see that he dislikes having water to deep so I normally shower him. Hedgies can't talk mah.... so we humans only assume they like it but do they really like swimming?

Ah... you also notice then... yah, the hedgie will try and climb out of its watery bath.... this is why we should only give if possible, baths twice a month loh.... the most is once a week lah.

Hello all...

some Planeteers are going home this Friday... we are already very sad about parting with them...
today i saw a horrible post in the gliders thread... In good faith & sincere heart we shared 3'ny'T & her lovely hoglets with pet lovers here then to get attacked by a single forumer that we cheated him is a real terrible thing...
it has been a great experince sharing with u all here but I am really shock by this treatment... dunno if it was a gud idea being nice to wanna share... sad.gif

Sorry to hear that some one is doing such thing in the forum. This should be a forum for forumers to share their experience & knowledge here & help each others. If that person claimed that he/she had transfer the money, he/she should have a receipt about the transferring. I know this as i always transfer online.

Sc@ryM@ry, dont get upset by this kind of people. Now just hope all planeteers will go to good homes & their new owners can update news about them.

No, I don't think we will post photos on LYN. This is protect the privacy of the new owners. Just want to keep for memory sake. Coz it will begin our lifetime friendship with the new owners...

And frankly, getting very discouraged by this sort of weird things happening in LYN.

In nature they will dig, so digging helps in trimming nails. But in captivity we have to trim for them. If not when their nails are long, it will curl in & hurt them when they walk. So it is better to trim it. Just be careful when you trim. Dont cut too in. You can check it b4 trimming. You will see pink color side. Dont cut till that part, if not will bleed. If you still scare then you have to ask help from vet already.

I also not sure why because it seems like an instinct to dig things as Ren always scratches the newspaper before going to sleep. He loves to tear all the newspaper apart and crawl inside.Maybe he felt more secure that way though...

For some reason, I think that's more of a forum price. Market price in pet shops are much higher.

IMHO, we shld form an association like MKA (but for hedgies); define the colors and lineage. then we can produce a regulated (and recognized) birth cert, certify breeders etc, that way new hedgie owners (in malaysia, at least) knows where to get better breed hedgies (at the same time stamp out hedgie abuse in pet shops)

who's with me?

i'll do it (the data thingy; let me whip up a tiny web app over the xmas weekend)

the committee group shld probably be nominated by everyone here and must own a minimum of 1 hedgie. then mayb we can charge a nominal fee for the cert cost and tag etc & organize gatherings or something.

why not?no harm in trying, the worse thing to happen is the association dwindles into inactivity.

All our hoglets has been booked (without any booking fee incase someone try to get creative again).

Suppose to go home tomorrow (Friday). Unfortunately, I still have a little doubt to release them so I postponed all deliveries.

Sorry to all new owners for short notice. The hoglets' well-being is our main priority here. Too precious to have came so far without any casualties so we want to keep the record clean.

The stork will deliver the bundle of joyful quills next week.

Hope no one accuses us of a SCAM.

nope... its a must as its stated... but well, mealies are fattening and also, give mealies as suppliment. u need another main source of food, which is cat food.

btw... X-Free! why u selling off Mandisa?

mostly poo and urine smell is absorbed by the wood shavings. my 1.5 year old hogs have big poo! so big poo stinks. as for the animal smell; if u dont bathe them; they might smell gamey; so always keep their habitat clean.

Well, i personally uses only newspaper for the moment. It does smell when its still fresh and if you are in close proximity. But after a while, maybe 1min later, it would not have any problem with smell.Even the cat food used will have a stronger smell than the pee and poo..lol..

I think cat food does affect the smell of poo & hedgie's body odor. When i feed Ren on Evolve more, his poo stinks & his body odor is stronger. Then i tested feeding Ren on pure RC for 2days, his poo doesnt stink as feeding on Evolve & his body odor also not strong. So i think food does affect.

Hello there, I'm wongzai's brother. Feel great and happy to take care over the active Planeteer Earth. He like to climb around and well, it's nails are a bit sharp compare to my brother's hedgehog.

Am thinking of getting a hedgie in future. But not sure if suitable with my lifestyle or not.
Weekdays ,go to work at 8.00 am and arrive home at 7.00 pm. Weekends like every one else, sometimes at home sometimes go jalan-jalan. I already spend a couple of hours every weekend to maintain my fish tanks and turtle tanks. Once every 2,3 months go balik kampung sometimes for one week.

Can a hedgie be left unattended for a week?

I am sure many people will ask you to read more about hedgehog first before keeping one.Knowledge on them is essential in taking good care of them in the first place so do read more first before deciding to get one or not..Anyway, hedgies are solitary animal. They do like to be left alone and not bothered in the first place. You can leave them there for maybe 1 day as they dont even bother whether you play with them or not..1 week is definitely a no no.I dont think even human can last 1 week without food. So, you will still need to feed them.Taking care of them is kinda easy. All you need to do is feed them and clean the tank everyday due to the poo and pee...

using newspaper is clean n dry + their spike will not toggle with the newsaper

by using towel...maybe the owner doesn't mind washing + the owner wish to let his scences or bau goes familliar for the little hedgy.

consider pallets not a bad option too.but overall newsaper is cheap n good

any1 correct me if i m wrong...

Yea, using newspaper would be easier in my oppinion as all you need to do is throw away those dirty ones.Besides, using towel is hard as well if the hedgie is quilling as those baby quills might get stuck at the towel. And trust me, those quill hurts..lol...

@sangterap, would you mind listing the nick of the owners who is going to take care of the planeteers?Would really love to know which planeteers is going to which lucky owners...

Coz his mum doesnt allow him to keep pets. So he has to sell all his collection. That's sad to hear that. Hope Mandisa can go to good home.

Let's say you are getting a pair, are you ready to provide two big containers for each of them. And when the female hedgie gives birth and you're going to keep the babies, can you provide every each of them a cage of their own? Hedgehogs are solitary animals and they don't like to share their cage with other hedgehogs. And you have to seperate the male and female hedgehog as male hedgehogs are horny and female hedgehog is limited to give birth 2-3 times a year.

hmm? start small ler. buy 1 at a time. tell u wat, will really feel like shock when u nvr have a pet then suddenly u got 2 of them. Wht hao said is right, u need 2 separate container/cage, and everything else. And when u got more pets, u need more time to take care of them.

I heard that summit pet shop wanna sell a pair at a price of rm2k. CRAZY...... sweat.gif

Wow....unless if the hedgies are gold plated, i do not believe RM2K per pair....

yott-chan,

have you owned any hedgies before? How come suddenly decide to get a pair? What is your motivation and reason for breeding them?

Well, if you ask me, i would say try not to get the same hedgie from the same breeder as i feel you might get one from the same parents from breeding.Anyway, it should be about RM280 but thats already kinda hard to get..Maybe you could get one from X-Free.His Mandisa is up for sale due to personal reasons but Mandisa is really cute..

akachester,

try not to get from the same breeder? I say dun even try....just get from different breeder. I believe inbreeding or line breeding MUST NOT be done. Furthermore, the gene pool of hedgies in Malaysia is very small and there is a very high possibility all our hedgehogs maybe related.

Yott-Chan,

If i were you, i'll take their suggestion on getting Mandisa from X-Free. See if you really like keeping hedgie as pet first before you think of breeding straight away.

Yott-Chan, the standard market price is RM280 now. Like sangterap said, get one first and see if you like to keep hedgie first while learning before you're getting another one. And hope that you don't breed hedgies for money wink.gif

akachester,

There are many inquiries so I am keeping my options open. If i can find a suitable candidate, i'll let him go. But of course my heart also tells me to keep him. We'll see what happens. I think by this weekend we can decide.

As of Friday 5th January 07, 2 other candidates has stood me up last minute. I think it is a good sign as they might not be sincere about getting them and if they get Heart, I am afraid they'll never take good care of him. Anyway, their attitude towards committing to verbal promise shows their sincerity.

babymoli,

You bathed her issit? Last time happened to 3'ny'T before. The water went into her ears and caused an infection. The vet just gave an ear oilment to apply. Forgot the brand and name of the oilment but it's cover is brown in color. It comes with a tube like nozzle that enables us to squeeze inside her ear.

So far no vets able to treat Hedgehog but sometimes they can try. Hope Ren recovers soon.

babymoli,

we brought her to Lee Vet Clinic. It's located at Unit 32A-1, Ground Floor, Jalan PJU 1/3A, Sunway Mas Commercial Centre. Numbers are 78031966/012-2059106. It is somewhere near the Dataran Prima area heading towards Tropicana.

Hope it is the same problem so can be treated the same way. Good luck!

Hi, i am quite familiar with Dataran Prima area.May i know around where it is located or any particular landmarks there so that it will be easier for me to find it?

Anyone knows any particular Vet that knows how to treat a hedgehog and opens on Sunday?

okie...you know LDP? after you pass Kelana Jaya, you'll come to Taman Mayang and right after Tmn Mayang there's a huge church? next to the church there's a turning to your left. Take that turning and go straight. Up the hill and you will see a commercial area Dataran Prima and the rest of the shoplots are there. The clinic is quite deep inside.

Good luck finding it....

Please dun misunderstand and bare in mind that Dr. Lee is not a specialist in Hedgehog. But he was really honest and frank about it that he was treating 3'ny'T as how he would any domesticated animals such as dog. I guess the oilment that he gave is suitable and "coincidently" it worked.

Therefore, my conclusion is that, many vet would love to treat our exotic friends provided that they are given the opportunity to "try out something new".

My beliefs is that all animals somehow have the standard anatomy outline so it the matter of giving the right dosage of medication that all.

I do hope everything turns out fine. That's my part of experience. The least I could share. It may or may not turn out the same for others and I cannot guarantee it either.

Well, maybe i could go ahead and go back to Ren's previous vet which is Dr. Yeoh or maybe check out the vet at Pets Family...But personally, even though Dr. Yeoh have noticeable recommendation, the first time i bought Ren for check up seems to be quite simple.Too simple until i am starting to think that he's not that expert though..lol..Anyway, i would check out all the vet first before bringing Ren there.I could afford going to all the vet if that might cure Ren.

Medication and its prescribed dosage is utmost important. U cannot expect the doctor to do much. They can't say too much as you might know more than them when it comes to exotic. No worries. Just get hold of the ear oilment will do. That is what makes the difference.

Went to so many vets today but none is opened or the vet is not in.Tried Dr.Yeoh, Pets Family and Pets Safari as well.In the end, went to a new Vet in Kota Damansara area for check up.The vet have a look and said that it was not ear infection. Its just a normal pimple or skin disease that grew nearby the ear.Poke it out already and i think its fine...
