new hedgie enthusiast thread . keep it going!

newest litter update. been 12 day since Sora borth, only 3 hedgie left. 1 is being cannibalized by her. Dunno for wat reason. ;o

baby hedgie update: 3 of Sora baby now reach 4 weeks old already. I have already examined 3 of them and the 2 bigger one is female while the smaller one is a male. (All 3 of them have different color shades so its hard to tell for now)

Im still considering whether to sell 2 or 1 of them coz i my sis wanna keep 1. How much do you think i should sell? dunwan put too cheap or too expensive, best be with par with other seller....

thanks 4 ur opinion bro, i'll probably tag it around that price. btw i haven't confirm to sell yet but many of frens of my frens keep call and sms me asking " Hey bro, I heard you wanna sell your baby hedgie....." O_o"

hmm? start small ler. buy 1 at a time. tell u wat, will really feel like shock when u nvr have a pet then suddenly u got 2 of them. Wht hao said is right, u need 2 separate container/cage, and everything else. And when u got more pets, u need more time to take care of them.



I heard that summit pet shop wanna sell a pair at a price of rm2k. CRAZY......

looks like a normal helthy hedgie to me O.O

walao, vio ur case damn goner already...... to be honest i never trim any of their nails, i prefer them to be as natural as it is.

also i don't like to put a hidebox in their cage. i feel it is unnecessary except when Sora gave litter only did i put it.

darn the fatso hedgie at pet wonderland MV, the quills are like poisoned or wat i dunno i handled it for a while...... later tiny2 spot like bumps plagued my hands. T_T i think maybe bcoz they nvr bath it or they feed him/her with too much mealworms......

hmm dunno la vio hedgie cannot chew anything now. how bout meal worms then. but feeding it too much will make it fatso.

after looking at few petshops it is really a disappointing journey to scout for a good hedgie ;o.

either the price is incredibly inflated, the hedgie itself is wild, old, poor health conditions and obese(sounds like a package from all the pet shop).

seeing this the best bet to get a good deal hedgie now is always from a hobbist breeder. >_>

normal color snowflake/salt and pepper and albino. starting to wonder why all pet shop hedgie are incredibly obese ".

baby hedgie update: Sora just give birth another 3 new hedgie. 1 of them turn out to be cinnamon XD. will examine the sex 2 weeks later.

yeap. actually 6 weeks after the 1st batch, i separated the baby from sora and put her in the same cage with dante for 5 days. forgot that they probably mating again.

already check. 2 salt and pepper color 1 female and 1 male. the cinnamon color is female. so i will keep both the female XD. the 1 male is going to be reserved for someone.

the cinnamon color baby at early stage looks like an albino, quills all look white. but since the dad is cinnamon-apricot i expect its color to start get darken in another few weeks time.

yeah will give Sora a month rest after the baby reach mature age.

hedgie update. i now add new members to my hedgie family.

I just bought Snowie, an albino female hedgie from a petshop. cost me around rm500 though O.o'.

Nevermind that as i have been long desired to own an albino color hedgie. So now my hedgie pet have 3 main colors that is salt and pepper(Sora), cinnamon(Dante), and albino(Snowie) XD.
