QUOTE(Sc@ryM@ry @ Dec 20 2006, 02:58 PM) Birthcert with their names & linage info... in Canada they do that... i tot be nice ofr our Planeteers to have also so they have a solid ID... nothing fancy just for keep sake... like those cert they have for pedigree dogs IMHO, we shld form an association like MKA (but for hedgies); define the colors and lineage. then we can produce a regulated (and recognized) birth cert, certify breeders etc, that way new hedgie owners (in malaysia, at least) knows where to get better breed hedgies (at the same time stamp out hedgie abuse in pet shops) who's with me?

QUOTE(JonYeap @ Dec 21 2006, 03:57 PM) who is free enough and volunteer? i'll do it (the data thingy; let me whip up a tiny web app over the xmas weekend) the committee group shld probably be nominated by everyone here and must own a minimum of 1 hedgie. then mayb we can charge a nominal fee for the cert cost and tag etc & organize gatherings or something.

QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Dec 21 2006, 08:15 PM) are you guys serious? why not?no harm in trying, the worse thing to happen is the association dwindles into inactivity. "those who never fail , have never tried" or something like that.

mostly poo and urine smell is absorbed by the wood shavings. my 1.5 year old hogs have big poo! so big poo stinks. as for the animal smell; if u dont bathe them; they might smell gamey; so always keep their habitat clean.

rumizu: generally, hedgehogs will lick before they bite so there u go....u have a warning sign once the fella lick, move yr finger away lo...if my hand can hold him, u definitely can...just remember not to move away if he hiss else he'll always be doing that next time.
for some reason, i realized my albinos are tamer than the s&p's...they dont curl up when i come near them...one time i came down and i called them like how i call my dog (repetitively and very loudly, yeah i do that alot) and he poke his face out as if to say (So early, bising bising, i wanna sleep ah) then he walk out to look at me sniffing...i was so surprised..
