if im not mistaken INBREEDING also can be the main cause of many sickness suffered by hedgie aside from food or being inactive.

My friend told me a hedgie with pimples on his/her face is among signs of inbreeding and they usually have much weaker antibody and easily gets sick.

i treated Sora and Dante with it and they get better less than a week.



this one i get it from the vet in SS15 Subang Jaya. Been there twice already for checkup and to take the antiseptic cream.

last time i force feed my hedgie to eat mealworms. lol...but i tink she get to bite on the worms and she dun like lar...finding another way to trick her to eat.

anyway, wat other food do u feed ur hedgie? fruits?

Fruit can also, last time i feed Pickle apples, but he doesn't really like it. His favourite is still mealworms.

I gave some apple to Mizu once, she anointed herself with it.

Ohhhh.... My Donut likes my glider mix.... heheheh.... she will lick and lick... never annoint also so I guess she likes it. But Sparky won't touch anything other than mealworms or kibbles...

Donut is a pig. She eats more than her dad Sparky. She finishes 2 tablespoons of food a day while Sparky kinda rations himself to finish in 2 days.... so this is why I call Donut a pig.... maybe must rename her Piggy or something LOL....

Hahah... Don't think she is a hedgehog... more like piggy LOL. She may be grumpy like her dad but she got the appetite of a piggy.... She loves mealworms and crickets unlike Sparky, who only likes mealworms.... Donut drinks alot also so her bedding smells more .... man, she is like the pee queen hahahah...

Hun, do you find out that female hedgie is larger and fatter than male hedgie?

Not very sure.... I know Trin is bigger than Sparky. Now Donut is almost 4 months and she is as big as Sparky all ready. She still can grow.... I think females can be larger than males heheheh.

Oh...Good that she drinks alot. Ren hardly drinks. So he'll only pee once or twice a day. Is it normal for a hedgehog to drink less?
