Nearby open sewerage pond is being upgraded to a sophisticated covered system. It goes deep underground.

This is under ROL Project.
The existing 2 oxidation ponds will be replaced by a sewage pumping station with 3 running & 3 standby pumps.
There are 5 similar project in Batu District and all sewage will be treated in a central STP.
