QUOTE(Oxburg @ Dec 26 2007, 12:30 PM) I gotta lap it when reach home.BTW what is the first grit u used to lap?Cos i can see the GeminII come with quite smooth surface. Can skip to 1200 grit? The original surface is pretty flat so you can start at 800 or 1200 as you like. Don't be too particular about the mirror finishing as the ultimate objective is to get a flat surface, not to make a mirror. Good luck

Question - Im using GeminII right now with 2 AeroCool blue LED fans. So far it has done its job, at everest showing 1328rpm.
I was thinking to change my fans, my AeroCools are going up on top panel so you guys have any opinion ? Thot of getting UVLED but not sure which to take
Main criteria - Good performance, Silence (Abit of weezing sound is ok) and affordable.
Any suggestion guys ?

I had the same problem earlier with my GeminII + CM690. The reason is because the two fans are blowing towards your CPU/motherboard and the rear/top exhaust fan is busy sucking air out. Not only it creates a terribly loud noise, the temp is also very bad. What you have to do is ensure the air flow is right. I fix the problem by moving low cfm fan around the area and I was back on track

Here's the case -
I have this cooler - Gemin II (Blowing towards CPU and Mobo), 120mm front intake fan (Blowing towards my hd on the bottom side), no exhaust fan tho. Recently I modded my top panel to fit a 120mm fan, should this fan acting as exhaust or intake ?
My casing is Duck Brand only. Just tidy up the cable to make sure none of it crosses the mobo to give better airflow.

Top and back fans should always be exhaust (sucking air out) because thats what the rule says

What's different between Intel & AMD? All the mountings are included in the package.

Can blow my RAMs as well easily while last time I need to use 120mm to blow from the side. QUOTE(clawhammer @ Jan 16 2008, 12:41 AM) What's different between Intel & AMD? The CM690 has a dust filter at the bottom but you'll get dust inside the casing anyway (sooner or later)
