Sorry , still new to vaping and need some advice from the sifus here . Currently running SOV on P3 while using SquapeRS , dual coil , on radius . Different person giving different advice , asking to switch SquapeRs to P3 and run a single coil set up while SOV on radius , partly for the higher Watt capability . Problem is , I'm running KFv4 on another P3 so dont actually fancy another single coil and I prefer a flavor setup , in between 1.4-1.6 and .75 for dual coil .... OR should I just run SOV on the VaporShark DNA200 instead ? Only bring out 1 radius + 1 P3 all the time for different liquid , while rest i mostly leave it at home or in the office . Carrying 3 + 2 phones and my pocket is gonna tear oledi  sweat.gif

As Henry David Thoreau once said, "Our life is frittered away by detail... simplify, simplify."

My daily carry-around is a humble evic vtc mini, an atty, 1 bottle of juice and a spare battery. Relatively light and not cumbersome.

The anodes of 18650 batteries are flat because they initially weren't meant for the general consumer. Their purpose was to be welded together to form battery packs, hence the necessity for a flat top.

So meaning flat or protruding is good? (I mean which is original? )
I assume anything protruding is good smile.gif
*
LOL! I really don't know what u mean by "protruding". Does the +ve terminal rise above the top edge of the cylinder? I looked at those shopee sellers' photos...the anode appears to be flush with the top of battery...but then again it's late and my eyes are not what they used to be.

Thanks for sharing. That seems logical. Anyhow, a shiny wrap like the one posted above seems dodgy though.
*
Yup a glossy wrap is very very VERY dodgy to me...and that's why I wrote in to LG Chem...still no reply from that chap I was referred to. Anyhoo..am still using Joenida's shiny HG2's...so far so good, no venting, no excessive heat. Depending on the build, I draw 7 to 9+ amps, so I'm not overtaxing them. The "agak-agak" time of usage and charging is about the same than my older matte-wrap HG2's. YMMV.

QUOTE(olivur @ Nov 29 2015, 12:56 AM)
18650s made for oem usage ie laptop battery packs are usually flat tops as you mentioned but 18650s with button tops do exist and those were acrually made for consumers.

but seeing how consumers were mainly flashlight enthusiasts and vapers and we started having our own lumens and sub ohm races we started seeking better rated batteries. which were meant for oem usage.
*
Yes you're absolutely right. Button topped 18650 batts do indeed exist. However I saw none of those in the Shopee sellers' ads. Made me wonder what they are all fussing about.

Steamcrave Aromamizer for sale, please check beneath the undersign for more details. Cheers!
*
This is just a gentle heads-up: there's more than 1 model in the Aromamizer line, it may help u sell if u specify which one you have, and you should check out current prices of brand-new ones...they've dropped.

I ordered some more LG HE4 from different sources. Will get out my discharger to test capacity and compare once they arrive sometime next week smile.gif
*
I hope you'll post the results for the various batteries/sources. Pity I'm far from KL, otherwise I could lend u a pair of Joenida's HG2's to try...I'm curious as to how they'd perform in a more scientific test of capacity other than my "agak-agak" method biggrin.gif. Which device are you using to discharge? If not too expensive, I may get one.

guys , can kanthal be use for TEmp Control ?
*
The ijoy asolo 200w has a feature called "Taste Control" for use on kanthal. I don't know how well it works though; it seems to be some kind of pseudo workaround temp control thingy.

i know its for temp protection, duh.

u guys used D2 before? do u know the struggle of using it in power mode? putting 7W but fires as if it is 50W.

the main point of switching to TC particularly on D2 is so that we can access the step down by adjusting the power. i guess u guys are missing the main question im asking. who doesn't know tc is for temp protection lulz
*
I know what u mean. Nichrome in joules allows you a less-abrupt ramp-up. A vape boss who was evaluating my brews some time ago did that with an ipv 4s on nichrome coils. He set it at 21 joules, told me to take a toke and the throat hit was indeed way less than when on power mode. The power gradient is gentler, so I can understand why you're doing it on a D2 (I don't own that mod). I recreated it on my own unit too, and then went back on power mode..i like the throat hit! smile.gif

Not bad luck lah, just online sellers who are not conscientious enough or are ill-equipped to handle a sudden influx of buyers. Just take things calmly and get it sorted out.

DIY Masters, does your own DIY feel as good as premium US juices? Despite following some famous recipes online, they just dont feel (not taste) as good as their US counterparts. Most of my US juices has a nice feel or feels 'thick' in the mouth even for fruity ones. However, most of my DIY feels rather 'light' and somehow bland...
*
I am NOT a diy master, but some things I can add to the other replies of your question are:

Local PG and VG varies in flavor from supplier to supplier. Some even taste soapy; I've discarded such crap before.

And yes dilution of flavorings is done by certain less-than-scrupulous vendors. If you're really into DIY, get a hydrometer to measure the specific gravity (SG) of the flavors you buy and compare it to the SG listed in the flavor mfg's MSDS sheets. Diluted flavors will have a lower SG.

Sometimes manufacturers can change the formulation of a flavor, and such a change may not be for the better.

How the vendor repacks/stores the flavors before sale can also impact adversely on the flavorings. Eg a vendor happens to get the bottles from a factory which is extra-generous with the injection mold release agents (or used a cheaper alternative with inferior organoleptic properties), those bottles (after being filled with flavorings) could taint their contents.

I believe you're referring to "mouth feel" of the vapor, and yes that is important too. For the home brewer, try upping the VG for a thicker and richer feel. Let the juice steep properly till the flavors mingle properly and "bloom". Certain juices are aged in charred white oak barrels and it is said to greatly improve the taste, and it brings out the subtle nuances, interplay and layers of the flavors. I've yet to try this and am looking into an alternative: wood chips used for alcoholic beverage microbreweries. Am thinking to get some, char them myself and pop them into the juices to see what happens. I think this step will bring some of my clones to being very near the original, as well as improve some of my own recipes.

Joenida really testing my nerve. Tried to combine shipping with other account he said cannot trace the order so cant proceed with postage. And siap ketawa saying we busy coz so many orders.

But thats not the way u treat ur customer. Till now not post yet. Texted him, and took him almost half day to reply.  mad.gif  mad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

I know exactly what you're going thru. Tomorrow if nothing moves, I'll hit the REQUEST FOR RETURN/REFUND button before the Shopee guarantee runs out (already extended it one time). No need to get angry or upset; that will only hurt our own minds and bodies. Joenida is very successful now and is super busy, so good luck to him. I had ordered some stuff last week on behalf of a friend who is not net-savvy; he'll be disappointed but...what to do?

Glad to know that the RCA can fit all kinds of coils...

Tell yr friend that Smok's RCA has a long and illustrious history.
Below is a picture of an RCA vaping device from the turn of the 20th century.
Note the very large and primitive coil.

I have absolutely no idea how long it'll take. From the looks of things, it's on a case-to-case basis.

Since there's a lot of talk of batteries here, u guys may find this development interesting: sodium 18650 cells. Their Wh/kg is not far off from the norm today and it should be cheaper as sodium is more abundant than lithium. It's probably gonna be heavier than a li-ion though as Na is denser.

I'm quite interested with the RX200 too. So only TC not working properly la? Using wattage firing good? Coz i prefer using kanthal after reading risks of using Ni and Ti.

Anyway, yesterday i saw joenida price for rx200 was rm200+, today he marked up double. That is so unprofessional
*
Look at his other items...the prices are also double the "normal" rate. He'll be marking them down 50-60% later on, and then he can legitimately advertise about the large "discount"; seen it happen a few times b4.

guys any recommended vapes below rm100?

I wanna try vaping but my budget rm100 oni
*
OK. So you're a young adult and you wanna try vaping.
It's your life and it's not my place to tell you how to live it. All I can do is to gently advise you to avoid nicotine if possible.

And if you still really want to get into vaping, first visit a vape shop and ask if they can let you try a mod and a dripper with zero nicotine e-juice. Take a few tokes and then see if it's really something that you'll like. If you find it suitable, then save up a bit more and get a decent starter kit with good quality battery charger and batteries. Google "vape starter kit", there are many around along with reviews on youtube.
