Ahh! You sand down the o-ring! I actually bought three of them from the spare part shop but when installing, it just doesnt go all the way down. Thought that you able to find 0.5mm one. Couldn't agree more that the silicone o-rings are pretty useless on this tank. Not sure about the materials, but these orings are for the fuel or brake lines if not mistaken, should be way better.  smile.gif

Bro..I think you've mixed things up. It's late and my brain is a bit sleepy but I don't think I've ever mentioned a 0.5mm thick o-ring before. It's always been 11mm outer diameter and 1mm thick for the one that comes on the coils and RBAs.

The sanding down was done on a 2mm o-ring to get it to 1mm, but that didn't work out too well, so I ditched it. I managed to find 1.5mm thick o-rings at a bearing and seal shop, and that's what I'm using.

For those on a battle just now, try getting a higher nic juice. You guys need to chill the f out.

Still waiting for my reuleaux or whatever. The family guy post was funny.

Methinks it's gone beyond that, and an extreme remedy may unfortunately be necessary to sooth them....

Yes, I guess I mixed things up. Tiring after long day at work too. I manage to measure the oring I have currently which is about 1.4/1.5mm thickness and it is impossible for me to screw down the rba head till it touches the base. How you manage to squeeze down the coil buddy?
*
Necessity and crap o-rings are the mothers of invention. See the black o-ring in the base? It makes a good seal between the RBA and base section. It's 1.5mm thick. Originally I had put it on the RBA, but it preferred living in the base. It works, so I left it there. NO BS, NO tall tale. I'd never lead a fellow vaper down the wrong path. Please excuse the condition of my atty...I quickly dismantled it to take a pic for u.

Mind you, there are different nitrile rubber compounds with differing levels of hardness (or ability to be compressed, if you will). Note that I had mentioned I got mine from a specialist bearing and seal shop...NOT the normal auto spare parts shop which will prolly sell u very hard o-rings from a kit of many sizes. Get a 1.5mm thick o-ring made of a softer compound and I promise you that the RBA will make contact without you having to wrestle it into place, or risk using excessive force and stripping the threads. If you come across a shop that services fuel pumps, there's a very good chance they'll have softer o-rings of the proper dimensions too.

Well I hope it works for your TFV4 mini...I'm using the full-sized version with stock single coil RBA and 2 pcs dual coil RBAs (faster to switch when coils get gunked). I didn't comment on yr leakage prob cos I have no experience with the mini version. Are your stock silicone o-rings still in good shape, or were they chewed up/worn out from use? If they're in good shape and fit right, it may be a wicking prob which is causing the leak.

I once sleepily rewicked at 5AM and it was a sloppy job...some juice dripped out till I vaped like mad biggrin.gif That's why I have 2 dual coil RBAs...there's always a properly-wicked spare for quick swaps while half asleep.
Under normal circumstances, I fill up on juice with the AFC wide open, no problems.

My chimney's o-ring is still stock...it's the base threading that keeps cutting the silicone o-ring to shreds. I believe Smok made a bad decision to use the same flimsy o-rings in the RBAs as the OCCs. OCCs are meant for short-term use so they'd be discarded, but an RBA undergoes much longer use. They should have given tougher o-rings for the RBA.

26" nichrome UD is good?
*
Yes. IMO better flavor than kanthal. I've been using that brand for a few months. RM15/spool at vape empire.

BTW I think this thread deserves it's own subforum section, maybe under Hobbies, Collectibles & Model Kits.

Would it not be possible to divide a dedicated sub-forum section for vaping into various categories eg general vape talk, product-specific sections, how-to's etc? If not, then let it be.

None of the ingredients I use in DIY juice contain diacetyl as far as I know. Anyhow I'm still better off as a non-smoker. Hail vaping! notworthy.gif

Thank you for all your efforts! Just out of curiosity, did the joenida HG2's u tested have anode vent holes similar to alexng's or were they different in shape?

Thanks again, and egads! @ rusty joenidas.

Alexng is selling the reuleaux rx200 together with 3 HG2's...I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on that beast of a mod!

I'll probably have an extra RX200 by Friday Or Monday but no 3 set of HG2.

Alexng has the set at 268 which seems a good deal!
*
It's a good idea to have 2 units RX200....one for the left hand and the other for the right....then your muscles will be developed evenly biggrin.gif Yesterday afternoon I played with a white/teal unit at a friend's vape shop...and I noticed that there's a slight gap at the battery door. Is this evident in the black version too? (I'm assuming u own the black model).

Ah I see...ok..hope u get a flawless unit!

mine one nice and snug yo. so tight it's a bit hard to remove the cover lol
*
Tight is good! The design of the Reuleaux really appeals to me, and so does the stability when it's set down on the table....but how do u find the weight of it during an extended vape session? Is it bothersome? If i recall correctly, a reviewer said it weighed in excess of 300 grams with the batteries in.

hmmm other than putting in my pocket walking around with it, i don find it irritating or bothersome. my incubus mod is 500gm without batteries.  laugh.gif
oooo 10 clicks shows the temperature too.
*
500gm without batteries? That seems quite heavy. Lets see...I go thru 8-10 tanks of juice/day , @ approx 4.5ml/tank and agak-agak 25 tokes/tank, if I used that mod, I'd have lifted and put down at least 100,000 grams per day. Hefting 100kg/day isn't too bad. biggrin.gif

Wat he drop to 214 + 3batt? Wow dats crazy.
How do u determine sign of usage??
*
I just checked and it's still RM268 for mod and 3 batts before applying voucher and shipping costs. Assuming no shipping fee and u can use the 20% max RM20 discount, it'll be RM248.

QUOTE(rzn @ Dec 10 2015, 10:20 AM)

mine got gap but acceptable. ask alex and he said that is ecstatic damage and no warranty on that. i think that is factory defect!
*
Ecstatic (static?) damage? NO way! I believe you're right..it's a factory defect...my eyes were not wrong and there is a gap, but to me, it's not a deal-breaker. I really REALLY like the design of the RX200. drool.gif

Dafuq 1 tank only 25 drags?? My bellus with poison brew 3 days d few hundred drags still cant finish....
*
I was being conservative lah...if I take smaller tokes, should get 30+ pulls/tank. My everyday tank the TFV4 is a hella huge juice guzzler esp if I have claptons or 3.5mm coils on. And that's why I have to make my own juices...if not, the expense of buying would be nuts. And that led to my recipes getting the attention of a certain vape boss. They're scheduled to go on limited release soon, as a premium brand using his own bottling, label and distribution channels. Exciting times indeed! smile.gif
