QUOTE(cain11 @ Jan 28 2016, 03:39 PM) My rear brake have loud screeching since 4X k mileage , only when brake in cool ambient temperature .Example early morning, after car wash and raining day. Open up discover that is a lot of brown color dust and after service brake no more sound any more. But everytime after service only last for 8-12k km the rear sound effect come back again. FYI, I brake more than 500times everyday with my traffic jam work route. The brown colour stuff is rust. It's normal to have that sound during the morning or after a car wash. As your drum is wet and rust layer will build up overnight.

QUOTE(cain11 @ Jan 29 2016, 12:56 PM) Changed on 3Xk km due to uneven wear rate in between left and right cause by brake cylinder jam,now running on 2nd set of drum shoe. First set of drum shoe from factory did not create any sound at all. Workshop foreman tend to tell me my front brake pad has worn out already when they hear the 'screeching' sound before they inspect the brake pad. The sound always mislead people that the brake pad worn out indicator is touching disc brake. Any method to avoid it happen so frequent? Some time is quite scary especially at early morning when I brake at speed bump beside senior citizen or child Brake lightly 1st dont brake too hard when just start to drive so less sound.

QUOTE(wankel @ Feb 5 2016, 01:24 PM) A good mechanic is like gold, they're rare and if you find one then latch onto them, most seem to be good at two things, smoking and lifting heavy things, at least cigarettes are $1 a stick here so they pay enough extra tax to support me. I'll be checking out Daisy for the source of the rat-a-tat noise when braking as soon as I gather the energy and the god of weather smiles upon me. I was told it was universal but at least I had a 15 months of quiet before being smitten by it. It really doesn't sound like a serious issue but I'd better investigate just the same. I had modified my previous car by altering the sensor on the coil, and golly it blew cold for a while, until like you I suspect it froze up the evaporator, but I still suspect it's something that's worth a bit of tweaking. Actually I quite curious how's the service and After sales service by Proton over at your country? Can you share a bit with us.

QUOTE(wankel @ Feb 5 2016, 05:21 PM) Sorry but I can't really say, Daisy has never returned to the dealership, I do all her servicing. On a positive note I was very impressed by the lack of pressure from the salesman and was never offered any of the usual add-ons that can cost thousands for little to no benefit, and my distance from the nearest dealership meant I was also under no pressure to have Daisy serviced there, something I was happy about when I was told they used an oil brand I'm no fan of, despite legions of Aussies believing it's perfection itself, Penrite. Of course since I do my own work and Proton is a very unusual vehicle here (despite having great handling) I hang about here a fair bit trying to pick up whatever scraps of knowledge I can gain. It's nice to hear that. Perhaps we can meet up if I'm going to Australia. I have a customer in NSW. Not sure if it's very far from your place.

QUOTE(WanTaro @ Feb 18 2016, 03:33 PM) Sooo guys. Last time i opted for some sport springs. The problem is the rear is lower than the front. Otherwise handling all good. Any idea why? Is there any possibility the guy put backwards? QUOTE(WanTaro @ Feb 19 2016, 10:36 AM) I use tein s flex. Said at the box is for saga bt3. Mine is flx sv mt. Near one jari oni. Tp sakit mata oooo. This problem is common on s-tech springs. Not just on saga but on other car make also. Also most blm lowering springs are made base on savvy so the rear will be lower because savvy itself is a hatch. Save up the budget and go for adjustable or you can put rubber cusion for the rear spring to make the rear taller a bit.

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Mar 25 2016, 11:38 AM) wow, show off about 20 years of experience is helping? so show us la the way la how to properly jump start. that would be helpful. we also don't know exactly what the cause about the fried TCU, you pula simply jump into conclusion. Don't buy proton CVT problem solved.....buy MT...no problem, less headache... or Don't buy proton..... QUOTE(DonMe @ Mar 25 2016, 04:37 PM) I would change the FEAD belt at 50K interval. Timing belt can follow service schedule. FEAD belt is exposed to environment so I don't take the risk and since it's a cheap belt and easy to DIY with 2 bolts off the belt tensioner. Also the belt tensioner if got the budget change it also. It's my personal preference to change stuff earlier from their lifespan because mass manufacturer items even with QC some bad one will slip through... Sigh... QUOTE(paganizonda @ Apr 18 2016, 11:08 PM) Wa siao ah can tahan so long weh. I dont recall changing my saga fl brakes lololol. I guess if u dont drive it like crazy then it will last quite long. Anyway I went up to genting last week to have a spirited drive and i went too fast on my way down and i had to slam my brakes kawkaw. After gohtong jaya my brakes got burning smell and my brake pedal got really long. After 1 day back to normal dy haha The stock pads is very lasting...I used my stock pads in track racing n time attack. Elite, MIMC, SIC (full track) When I changed them they still have 50% left.

QUOTE(WanTaro @ Apr 21 2016, 12:10 PM) That one normal. The stock not for teruk2 driving one. Stock brake fluid not teruk....I was using all stock brakes for track/race previously...seriously I'm not joking. I only changed my rubber hose to steel braided everything was stock...I didn't even drive slow and I was late/trail braking at 100 meters mark at SIC..

QUOTE(WanTaro @ Apr 21 2016, 12:41 PM) Im not saying the oil itself is teruk. I mean if u drive teruk2 den the oil can't really cope because it is not intended to. The steel braided ones ok ke? Wat brand u using? Hahahaha drive teruk teruk as in brake hard hard? I think drive in track is already teruk teruk kan?? Sudah 3 tahun lebih still strong... on saga a good set of steel braided hose makes the brakes very nice already..that's why I didn't spend any more money to change to bigger rotors or rear disc those stuff. The brake feel is very predictable and brake modulation also quite nice.
