actually i have a question regarding this
when we first move to SG, the best time to resign is AFTER pass approved AND offer letter signed.
however, when we are already here on pass, when is the "correct" time to resign?
new pass cannot be applied unless existing pass is cancelled??!!
signing the offer letter does not ensure employment when pass can still be rejected...which leaves us in no man's land
so when exactly will be the best time?
If you don't sign the offer, the new company cannot apply EP for you right?when we first move to SG, the best time to resign is AFTER pass approved AND offer letter signed.

I'm not too sure about SG because this is the normal practice in Malaysia if a foreigner hops from one company to another company.
Also there's a grace period during the transition provided the new application is already in progress.
