To add on, things are very expensive in Myanmar. Rental is paid a year upfront and I hope your employer will pay for you.
Rental is crazily expensive even for a month. So yeah, I was in Yangon for business trip and spoken to my colleagues there and some of them were transferred from Malaysia to Myanmar and of course their rental is paid by company. |

QUOTE(busyman @ Mar 10 2016, 11:02 AM) gotcha, I was previously using XOX, but the data speed was slow compare to celcom(even they claimed they're using celcom line) QUOTE(aLertz @ Mar 10 2016, 11:05 AM) Super slow. I always complain to them and they said they will upgrade to LTE soon.Oh well, I just MNP-ed it to XOX for my spare number, can lend to my overseas visitor when they are in Malaysia. |

QUOTE(busyman @ Mar 10 2016, 12:03 PM) Yeah, but oh well since I have MNP-ed to XOX for 28 months without reloading anything. Good also.I can always port it back to Digi Ambassador Plan which I have another quota and I don't need to pay anything if I'm not using it. Let's see when I'm not lazy enough, now the card is in my drawer. |

QUOTE(someone_stupid @ Mar 18 2016, 04:07 PM) It should be the same EA form which your employer should have given it to you together with your CP21.No, you don't need to file income tax again as you have cleared all unless you still have undeclared income which you want to declare in this round of e-filing. Just make sure you keep the tax clearance letter. p/s: I'm not working in SG but I'm from a Malaysia employer and have handled with tonnes of exit from Malaysia cases. That's why to avoid any confusion, we don't send EA form again to our employees who have cleared their income tax before they leave the country. |

QUOTE(deodorant @ Mar 23 2016, 07:01 PM) I dunno, maybe it's a milestone of some sort? Average income, maybe? I always get confused between all the median, mean, individual vs household income numbers flying about lol. Maybe my expectation is too high, that's why I still haven't found a good job yet. |

QUOTE(Winter-3 @ Apr 12 2016, 04:33 PM) I'm in HR, so I guess that's even harder for me, not in professional or technical field. Plus I'm still working in Malaysia, not a PR nor having any type of working permit. Sigh. HR is not easy at all, unless you have skills which others don't have. I'm also from HR and with 7 years experience in this field, still cannot get what I wanted. I should have gone there few years ago and not now...Haha, I know it's not easy. Easy or hard, I still wanna go there. Just feeling a bit deflated that's all. Sorry. Well, I will keep trying but I do have regional experience because my current role is a regional role and I'm supporting different countries. I used to support Singapore for a short term, now back to Malaysia + Philippines. My boss is trying to transfer me to SG but at the same time I am also applying whenever I found any interesting position. |

QUOTE(knwong @ May 7 2016, 12:28 AM) Brand name does help. Why? I agreed as a HR practitioner's point of view. We tend to hire back those from MNCs and preferable from the same industry. Cos to enter such esteemed company like Facebook, McKinsey, Temasek, Exxon Mobil, etc normally in their respective industry these companies would have recruited the best and well groomed candidates. However pay wise would probably just on par in the market If you claimed you have 3 years experience from these companies, Versus another candidate from a cinapek company, the cinapek one would need more years of experience to up his hiring chances |

QUOTE(Dilemmaz @ May 7 2016, 02:49 PM) so basically someone who has a degree and pursuing a professional qualification who is from CINAPEK COMPANY is screwed? Get your professional qualification yet.Not to say screwed la but bigger well-known companies will be nicer to hear lo, at least people are familiar with that company. |
