My boss is finally back from his leave after 2 months and I talked to him about my intention to move to SG and been actively looking around.
He said he will do his best to make me there and if that happens, that's the best. I have all the relocation package and whats not. Let's see what he can do while I still continue searching around. |

QUOTE(Repentance @ Feb 2 2016, 07:02 PM) Is it ok to start working with a company tat does not gv out offer letters? I just found a job as accounts assistant....the pay is meagre 1500 only, now i just worry if its ok to work with them without any letter stating my benefits? Worth for it meh to go so far and only earn 1.5k SGD? Unless you are a JB-ian? The next thing on my worry list is juz whether my wp will be approved or not Or the company covers all your expenses? Like my cousin also earns around 2k but he works in electronics factory, at least accommodation and meals provided. |

QUOTE(darrenboy @ Feb 12 2016, 10:02 PM) I already reply. To avoid bank account from being dormant, can just simply transact RM 1 or anything in and out via online banking.Anyway, how do you guys maintain your Malaysian bank accounts so that it does not go dormant? Do you guys purposely go to JB to deposit or withdraw so that it stays active? Do you guys still maintain your Malaysian addresses? Or, are your letters all re-directed to Sgp address? |

QUOTE(felicious @ Feb 17 2016, 10:10 AM) I'm leaving my job as medical sales executive to go back to Malaysia. Cannot find another job in SG? Pity you. Micromanagement really sucks. **PM me for the company name if any of you want to know the company name** Couldn't stand the chinaman company, with boss and wife management. Micromanagement and everyday scolding their stuffs. My common room at Toa Payoh is available for rent from March onwards. Do PM me if any of you / friends looking for common room at this area. |

QUOTE(animichi @ Feb 18 2016, 01:21 AM) Ouhh..okay..but seem quite hard to get shortlisted if I didn't apply directly to the company.myb if directly past my resume to the company still hv chance to be call.but thanks for your advice I'm not sure how SG companies work but I'm a HR in a MNC in KL. Honestly speaking, on and off we have a lot of people walked in and dropped their resume to our receptionist. Then, the resume will be passed to me eventually.Sorry to say, I will just have a glance and after that will shred away. Somehow these people gave us an impression that they are really desperate for a job and probably not in the top quality, hence didn't get offers via other channels. That said, those CVs that I had a look were really no good... No offence but this is just my thought. You could be different from them but I will not suggest you to waste your money to travel down South to look for a job via that method. Try hunting from online first, like jobsDB, Monster, JobStreet and etc. If they are keen in taking you, they will call you for phone interview and if required usually on the last stage, they will call you to go to SG for F2F interview. Then, only you travel to SG. |

QUOTE(deadravel @ Feb 21 2016, 12:15 AM) But he still has income for last year right? Rightfully he should do, to claim for all the reliefs and what's not. That's why for our company, we enforced that all leavers exiting from Malaysia must do tax clearance before leaving country, then only we release their last drawn salary. Then, they don't need to file for income tax before 30th April. |

QUOTE(funkyme @ Feb 21 2016, 10:24 PM) err hi, means no matter how much the income we still need right? Can be done online, e-filing. It will be up on 1st March.is it possible to do all this online ? thanks a i think my salary not in the tax range also..below 3k Well, if you did pay PCB last year, you should do. Even if your salary was below 3k, let's say in the month which you received bonus, then income for that month will be high. Do you have a tax reference no.? Usually starts with SG. You can try though, I started paying income tax the day I started to work. |

I'm wondering what field is that and the salary offered is pretty low.
Since my first job didn't go through, I thought of sharing it here, it was a 4.3k basic pay before the EPF allowance thingy. Anyway, it didn't work out as I cannot join them that quickly that time and other factor too. It's a HR position in my case and of course it's not a 1:1 case for me vs what I'm earning now in KL, around 6.5k. I'm still looking around though I have been very busy with my work. I'm now in Philippines for business trip. |
