My company usually let them to opt for resign instead of terminating them. Giving em a second chance.
Can't comprehend how people can take up to 100 days of sick leaves. |

QUOTE(LVL1NiNjA @ Nov 16 2015, 10:20 PM) If your frequent sick leave (more than what stated in the MOM act) affect your performance, then MOM can't do anything. Have to be fair to the employer also. Suck it up lo. Not like you get employed here you be king and MOM will protect your backside what.Look at the bright side, health is more important than the job. If you sick because of work, your boss is doing you a favour by terminating you. This post has been edited by Fiona Chin: Nov 16 2015, 10:43 PM |

Some take attendance very seriously e.g SIA. If you take more than 1 day of mc it'll affect your performance appraisal.Look at the bright side, health is more important than the job. QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Nov 16 2015, 11:18 PM) Then your employer did a good job for 'letting you go'. Problem is, first time getting a job and about to get terminated, but ended up burning bridges.Probably it's about time for you to think what's suitable for you. Like your first job in SG is also your last. But at least I can enter Singapore as a tourist right? |

If they have a serious case with you and MOM decided to blacklist you then you are gone case. Otherwise I don't think a normal termination would affect your future employment much. |

QUOTE(LVL1NiNjA @ Nov 16 2015, 11:16 PM) Just find another job lo. No need to force yourself. There are only 1 good health you, but tonnes of job out there. I don't believe there will be a database of blacklist employee due to employer feedback. Have to be fair to both side, some employee are FTrash, but some employer also squeeze till you die kind. MOM not stupid leh. |

The most common reason of employees getting blacklisted by MOM is AWOL 2 consecutive days without proper justification and get terminated.
It happens a lot at my side here. |
