So difficult to jump ship bcos this company is specialist + monopoly, means no competitor. My exp not related to other trade, so if change company need to start from zero, except project management skill. But work quite flexible and relax. Increment not good, if i stay, bad for career development. Should I seek for other job and lowered my expected salary?
*
Since there is no career development, then why you still stay there? For me, I rather quit now than dilemma on changing job in future. I believe there's other opportunities which can transfer your skill, eg project management. Btw, market now is bad. Resign only after you get a new job biggrin.gif

If no career path on current job, pick up all the skills that you can learn from the company, stay at least 1 year then can start look for jobs. Potential employer would look at how frequent you job hop. wink.gif

Can't totally agree on this. Would say that it does affect the impression on your prospective employer, but if you are good and the reason for your resignation is justified, i believe they will still hire you.

He is already there for 6 months, I don't see any harm for him to stay another six months. Plus, he needs time to find job, no?

Apologies, I'm not responding in respect to your advise to a particular person. Was just commenting on the statement that you provided. Surely it is better to stay on and find a job before resigning.

Staying another 6 months, if it brings you experience and money. If life is hell at that company and you don't learn anything at all, it's better to move on. Rather than spend 6 months achieving nothing at all.

Yes, he should leave if he finds the working environment is not suitable for him. Sometimes the job only provide you money, some experience. But I'd say go for experience first whenever you are young. The money will come to you soon when you have more experience. IMO it is hard to find jobs that gives you the experience and money at the same time.

No worries, it's all about sharing our thoughts in this forum. wink.gif

For myself, I am gaining experience in current company. The money is not good enough as I had received better offers outside. Being me rejecting all those offers because I am following a good boss, and there's still many things for me to learn in this company, though this company is sh1t. laugh.gif
