not sure, that's why checking it out here... cuz at least for past 2 pages in this thread, it seems like the salary range is quite high for people with 2-3y experience. (not the same industry mostly)

i'm just wondering is that normal for C&S consultants for fresh grad, and how the average increment is like for my industry.

1st job - 24yrs old, 2.4k - 1year, M&E consultant

2nd job - 2.8k - 2.5 yrs, leaving at 3.2k, M&E consultant

3rd job - 4k - 2 yrs , leaving at 4.3k, M&E consultant

Now coming to 30y.o, 4th job - 5.5k - 0.5 Yr on going, PM for main contractor , contracted AWS , and $100 phone bill , no other special benefits

Hope to get 6k soon or jump to government sector

i work in the private sector and I'm earning 6k, 26 this year.

a certain private equity firm i know pays RM2,000 during internship. My friend got tripled that amount when they offered him a permanent position

Side Job (Every weekend)
Salary: Average for last 12 months around 2k per month

^ Started during my final year at uni. Pay almost nothing in the beginning, but now abit more established getting better. This salary (2k) is combined for both my girlfriend and I, so you divide out its 1k per person.

Sigh sad to say im in the same situation

Started work at 24 with 2.6k.

25 earned around 3.2k

26 around 3.5k

27 around 3.8k

Now 28 only 4.8k.

Just completed my professional papers.

According to my manager, my level is considered as manager but i don have anyone report to me. i have teammates doing the same job but their level could be different.

analysts can come from various education background - engineering, maths, accounting, finance, law, actuarial science, journalism etc...you need to be good in numbers, writing n communicating

the biggest hurdle is actually securing an interview for that role, and recommendations n connections within plays a role, although i've seen from time to time the post is advertised in JS/LinkedIn, tho quite rare

Once in, self-initiative and drive can bring you a long way.

Comms background, then try venture into relationship management in the corporate banking side. Very sales driven, need to suck it up the first few years as your superiors will get more acknowledgement that you do.

Meanwhile you can pursue CFA at the same time and try your luck joining the investment industry, if that's what you want.
