That's called pre-authorized amount to block your credit limit. Your credit limit will be reinstated after the actual amount is posted.

For Ikhwan, I have been rejected for twice and I gave up. Split limit straight and got it.

Split limit is requested by you. I only give 2k away to Ikhwan. Based on your example above will be RM 2k for Ikhwan and Rm 8k for other Maybank conventional cards.

Well, you can increase your credit limit first before splitting then. Basically M2Cards have no purpose for me, so cut away some to Ikhwan is fine with me. Anyway, my CL was increased by another 10k recently when my VS approved by them. The 2k for Ikhwan is pretty negligible now.

No effect because both are separate CLs. One is Islamic and another one is conventional. VS is conventional so it has no effect on my Ikhwan. Not a problem for me because Ikhwan is always my backup card and now in drawer.

It's working. I have card approved via that channel though my VS was rejected earlier.

You can apply via M2U. Well, Ikhwan MasterCard so far has one of the highest rejection rates among other cards.
Just try first, if it is rejected, just try the split limit I shared in previous post.

Easiest is just apply via M2U if you are an existing Maybank customers.
I'm not sure about you, I don't like to go around looking for an agent to apply my cards. For me salary information is confidential and shouldn't be easily revealed to any third party, especially someone from online forums.
