Is there some sort of catch ? You cannot compare apple to apple with the older Prudential policies because Prudentials old medical limits are low. The newer ones are being upgraded to cater for current needs. Also pls check out Manulife's outpatient cancer and kidney dialysis treatment which is limited (to what i know). So there is always a give and take situation, depending what is important to you. But as coolpajames had said, just pm him and let him do a comparison for you. |

QUOTE(soulmad @ Dec 2 2006, 12:12 AM) anyone getting insurance here? You should start early when you are young because the premium will be much more cheaper , the other thing you need to get an insurance when you are healthy because if you diagnosed with certain illnesses then you wont getting a medical card for the rest of your life unless you get it through group insurance coverage. is it right time to get now? ur company does insured u is that nessesary to start early? as they say early u need pay cheaper Even though you have coverage from you company you still can get insurance coverage at affordable price since company like prudential offers 3k deductible plan and 10k deductible plan that can reduce your premium a lot. Please call me or sms me if you want to know more Added on December 16, 2010, 6:23 pm QUOTE(Civil @ Dec 2 2006, 12:11 PM) Example : IF you want to get a good medical you should consider medical with no " portfolio withdrawal" condition .Person A bought a medical policy with Company B coverage of RM50K He has been paying his policy for 4 years now. On his 4th year he claimed for his medical for 25K. On 5th year, he wanted to renew his policy, but the company rejected because of his health etc. Company has right to reject because normally medical insurance are based on 1 year contract basis. Thats mean after a year, you have to renew it. Its up to company to accept your renewal or not. If the policy stated its a guaranteed renewal policy, then u dont have to worries. U claimed so many times also the insurance company MUST renew your policy no matter what. Normally, financial consultant would advise you to save 5-10% from your income on insurance and investment. "The Company reserves the right to cancel the portfolio as a whole if it decides to discontinue underwriting this insurance product. Cancellation of the portfolio as a whole shall be given by written notice to the Policyholder and the Company will run off all policies to expiry of the period of cover within the portfolio." You dont want suddenly they cancel your medical because they dont want to continue the product. However i would assure you that prudential's medical card has no this particular clause. If you have medical card from prudential you will definitely have it as long you pay the premium or your limit or age is still not exhausted. redruby,
are you suggesting that PRU gurantees cover regardless of the situation for the duration specified upon signing even in the event that PRU decides to no longer offer H&S plans to the general public? this would the first time _ever_ i come across a plan that cant be canceled under any circumstances while i pay my premium and dont commit fraud. i was of the opinion every single plan has the portfolio clause in malaysia. can you double confirm this? even for international plans i have not come across such a generous clause before. |

QUOTE(coolpajames @ Dec 17 2010, 11:37 AM) thanks ronnie, I have seen Manulife's medical card, as i just have to say, the pros and cons:outpatient from manulife it's s such. for the rider purchase of a RM50k outpatient benefit u get 50k lifetime limit and 25k annual limit. what are the others out there??? n yes it's a give n take situation...s far s i know the manulife medical card is quiet impressive with high annual limit. u get a R&B 200 medical card u hav annual limit of 160k and 400k lifetime...no ICU days limit (hehehehe tis i like) n u dun have any sharing of cost (cos i always do No Co-ins.) Pros: High annual limit and NO ICU days limit Coverage till age 100 (which is a selling point) Cons: Not so high lifetime limit as compared to Pru, GE and Allianz Out patient treatment for 50k per lifetime (both kidney and cancer treatment) is super low, considering that now 1 chemotherapy jab is in the region of RM15k. The limit will just burst off in a year or lesser. So it all boils down to what the consumer needs and the budget. I gathered these information when my client actually compared a Manulife proposal with Allianz which made him bought Allianz. So there is no one medical policy out there is the best, only the in-forced policy is the best. |

Is there some sort of catch ? Hey fren . . . to buy an insurance plan for yourself, the very 1st thing you need to do is find a reliable agent from a reliable company. Cause different agent will quot a diff quot for their client base on their level of understanding of the needs of their client. This is very subjective if you wanna make your decision base on a quotation from 2 company. |

Hi, Mind to intro which insurance company that has better offer? or the pro N cons. It's good that you're taking a positive step towards planning your life. Don't worry about the cost as you can get a decent coverage nowadays with minimum outlay of RM100 - RM150 thanks to the advent of ILP products. Most insurers offer similar product differentiated by their key selling points. Apart from the product, choosing a reliable agent is a must when you're buying insurance for guidance & support. Cheers, HH |

Its still same.
If u no believe u can ask the agent generate COI. For example now u 25yr old,COI is RM100 but when u 30 yr old COI is RM200 Then you can ask agent to quote another ppl which current age is 30 yr old the COI is also RM200 |
