Hi,

Which hospital did she went? no GL issued? If panel hospitals, should get GL and cashless basis (since you mention AIA)

Oh yeah, I ter-reveal the company, darn it. No GL issued. I was told by my agent that go to hospital do the treatment first, claim later. Have any agent(s) out there had experiencing handling cases that are pending in "investigation" for like 6 months?

From what I gather, I'm not only the horror story here...
*
I also agent from AIA, but so far never experienced any claim that took so long. one of my client went to government hospital, the only think that make it longer is we have to wait for report from the attending doctors. That's all.

Maybe you should ask your agent, what they need actually. so from there, we can find a way to speed up the process.

Hi guys, I'm seeking advice for insurance for myself, but I'm still a student yet I can't really afford to get too expensive insurance.

Mind to intro which insurance company that has better offer? or the pro N cons.

AIA agents out there, can u elaborate more about critical illness income rider or other disability income rider that you have? thanks.
*
Income guaranteed rider = Annual payment starts on the 2nd policy anniversary following the disability and continued payable
up to age 65.

Critical illness shield - Living Medical Care Benefit = If you are diagnosed with a critical illness, you will also receive the amount shown opposite each year, for a maximum of five years. The first payment will be made to you 31 days from the date you were diagnosed with a critical illness.

I don't want to sell the UT to cash out 1st.

I want to wait the right time when the UT is high price then only cash out.

So there is it possible to keep the UT but cancel all the rider+basic/life/tpd ?
*
Rider can, but not basic life.

2) I'm beginning to think whether it is really worth it to buy education fund as I can invest in other instruments to get better returns (although with higher risk). I guess education funds has its advantages and disadvantages but I want some views on it. Any opinion is much appreciated

*
The advantages of education fund from insurance company is not from its return of investment but:
1) you can attached payor benefit so that policy will continue even unfortunate happen to you. smile.gif
2) you can include your spouse as payor benefit so that policy will continue even unfortunate happen to your spouse. biggrin.gif
3) tax relief rclxms.gif

Guys, my standalone medical card is due for renewal and the insurance co already send the statement. However, i notice that the premium amount and the total amount payable is different by RM10. I'm assuming the RM10 is the stamp duty. Is it a normal practice to stamp the renewal policy again? I thought we only need to pay stamp duty once only when we sign up for the plan rclxub.gif
*
based on your story, you subscribe medical plan from General insurance co, which that mean, yes, you have to pay stam duty RM10 every year upon renewal

Guys, i already have a life insurance plan but now thinking of getting something so called 36/32 illness? For someone at my age 26 how much would be the annual premium? Needed something minimal to cover just in case any shit happens.
*
you have two option:
1. just add in rider to your existing life insurance.
2. purchase a new stand alone plan, and for your age and RM150K coverage just require RM204 per year.

Thanks

Only RM204 per year? Which insurance company is offering that? i believe this are those where premium would not be return right?
*
it offered by Chartis Malaysia Insurance. You can check from my signature.

of course it wont return back, if you want it returned back, pay at least RM1200 per year.

thanks
