QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 7 2016, 10:11 PM) This is captured from my phone, so it's wireless. I'm using stock router and added Xiaomi Nano router as access point. This access point spreads the signal much better than the stock router. I was able to get full speed too when I was using the stock router. just curious, does stock router has USB port, and power the Xiaomi Nano router? thanks

Hi all, is 50 MBPS available for apartments/high rise condos?
Or are apartments limited only to max 30mbps?

QUOTE(mitodna @ Jan 8 2016, 09:37 AM) just curious, does stock router has USB port, and power the Xiaomi Nano router? thanks Does Xiomi Nano Router supports power via usb port, if yes I'm pretty sure the stock router would be able to power it as I used to charge my mobile using the stock router usb port

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Jan 8 2016, 09:36 AM) I heard that BTU mac id is bind to TM's server I don't think you can just simply replace it hmm...but currently im using BTU supplied by maxis fiber and can use my unifi perfectly. cause previously my home got maxis fiber and unifi, due to one of my room rent out to other people so my unifi BTU i keep for so many years, i also dunno put go where already. didnt even realize need to return BTU.

QUOTE(chiahau @ Jan 8 2016, 08:15 AM) Have a feeling it's the default router. Was busy face palming my head to think why my desktop can't full speed. Changed the router and bam, 30 mbps steady throughout the day. Care to share what router you using? bang my head on the wall already each time doing speed test.

QUOTE(lyl_bgr @ Jan 8 2016, 02:36 PM) Thanks for the reply ^^ Wireless can change through the setting page right? Do you have any ideas what channelast should I change to? If I not mistaken, the channel currently is set to auto mode Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?....analyzer&hl=en and check what are the channels that has the least amount of ssid then set that channel as your channel. Choose from 1 to 11. Don't go for channel 13 as some of your devices may not support it. QUOTE(turion64 @ Jan 8 2016, 05:13 PM) hello, is there a cheaper package (5 / 10 mbps) ? as i only see the cheapest plan so far is 179... VIP5, 10, 20 has been discontinued by Unifi. The cheapest plan is Unifi Advance 30 for 179 from Unifi. You can check for whether your place has Time/Maxis as they do offer some lower speed plans.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 7 2016, 11:50 PM) I think the YouTube issue on selective full HD videos still happening. Earlier seemed fixed, looks like no. Right-click on the video and choose 'Stats for nerds', and find the Stream Host. Any Youtube video that has trouble loading will usually be on the same stream host. Other than using the Singapore VPN server, I have no way of changing the stream host.

Yes, my Stats for Nerds sucks for these videos. Now all solved with the VPN.
