You could send it to The Backdoor service in FB (Yes, I know what is sounds like) for repairs unless you could claim warranty for it. Or just get a mech mod. Now I do not condone this but if you're looking for reliability then mech is the way to go.

Still, if you're happy with D2 then why not a 3rd, or VTC mini, upgradable to 75w now.

Depends on the problem. Could be just some shoddy wiring but hey, I'm not an expert. I've seen they charged for next to nothing to a full chipset change. Try PMing them first and see if they're close by to your area.

If the threads on the post aren't stripped as well, try looking for a replacement screw that'll fit. Sometimes vape shops have spare screws. Dunno how much they'll charge u though. My Tobeco clone's grubs are still good after many builds.

Also try googling "Snubnose RDA". It's slightly shorter than the Derringer, and some call it the Derringer-killer. Very intense flavor, but has a small well and is a bit warm if u chain-vape. It's my fav RDA.

I think u meant "it was warm" when you picked it up. If you had left it for an extended period unused on the table, it shouldn't be warm. Try low-tech troubleshooting first: check that no juice had leaked into the unit, check the battery contacts, battery health, condition of battery wrapper and charge level, and ensure that u didn't mistakenly install the battery upside down (reversed polarity). If u still can't find the source of the problem, then it's time to bring it to a repair shop and consider having a spare mod or two.
