I just tried on some Citizen Promaster divers in titanium. Somehow, they look cheap. I really wanted to like them, but they have a look like Fossil watches.

Somehow, even a skx007 doesn't look cheap but a RM2k (after discount) citizen diver can look and also feel cheap.

not sure about looks, but titanium does have the 'cheap' feeling to it cause it's really light. also if they aren't polished, it might even look cheap i guess.

when i look at the SKX007 or turtle, first thing i noticed is they look cheap tbh. single type finishing overall, the infamous misaligned chapter ring/bezel.

but they don't feel cheap though cause of the weight

Well, I once put on the GS Snowflake. It didn't feel cheap at all and it's titanium.

I've actually put on my wrist a great many watches, some of the best in the world. Lange, JLC, GS, various Rolexes, etc. But I've also tried on many affordable watches. Longines, Seikos, Tudors including the BB58, Seagull 1963, etc.

Some of the Longines really do look and feel cheap. But, by and large, I liked most of the watches I've tried. They always give such a high quality impression, even the Seagull 1963.

But the Citizens I tried today were really cheap looking and feeling. They were also poorly finished. I felt so underwhelmed. Normally, I find much to like in most watches, even in Skagens. But there were many off things with the Citizens.

I own and regularly wear a two tone Rolex Datejust. When I put on the mini turtle, it doesn't feel or look cheap to me. It feels different, but not cheap. The designers behind it are very good at what they do, and have managed to deliver a watch which gives great satisfaction to wear and handle. Yet it uses basic materials and inexpensive processing.

Ah, let me put it this way. You know what the Citizens remind me of? Of Swatch.

i recently just get an seiko 5 sport with Caliber: 4R35, but i notices if i dont wear the watch for 1day, it will stop moving.

shall i send back to warranty? or that is normal for automatic watch?

that watch is a great exception cause the dials are really great and the polishing on it is equal to that you find on a stainless steel model.

i own the baby snowflake SARW041 and when i compared it to the GS hi-beat weeks ago, i was both disappointed and glad, cause the differences in finishing are pretty minimal with the GS having a little more refinement, but glad cause for what i paid for, there really is nothing else equal to my baby snowflake in the same price point.

but you're right, looking online alone can't tell you much, i've yet to try on any citizen because they just aren't my type.

the turtle sure doesnt feel cheap to me, though it really looks so cause of the lack of multiple bevels which i generally expect to have in higher tier watches

try fully winding it via the crown and see if it still stops after 1 day (24 hours)

if it does then you should go send it for warranty claim.

manually wind it in full then leave aside and see if it stop within 36hours. anything less, send it in.
