diver wannabe.
go google seiko 5 monster.
*
Yea i saw how it looked like. kinda like a mini version of another more expensive seiko brand, i just cant put a finger to which model.

not a fan of that bezel look though.

as of now i am torn in between skx007 or orient mako. both has its plus and minus point.

jilakak if i have the money i would've bought both and be done with it.

Yea but with limited budget mah....

Wait longer to save up more money to buy? Dunno gonna wait how long. company now kwai lan change bonus giving policy, instead of year end, they now move it to march the next year. Kanasai cannot buy watch to wear during CNY liao.

Hi.. just found out this thread. I have a general question. If i want to buy Seiko watch, those steel type watch, is there any specified model I should avoid? any recommendation which to buy? Is RM500 good enough? I'm just looking for something to wear with my work attire..
*
Plenty of Seiko 5 within that budget. can be had for as low as RM250 brand new for an Automatic.
Quartz also got aplenty withing that price.

u only have to decide what kind of watch style that goes with your office environment, whether strictly classical/dress, or sports/divers.

That being said, if you have the budget then wear what you like.

u actually trust a seller who calls that a casio band? plus the dimensions are all wrong.
probably also just another fake seiko knock off band since they also go call it silicone...yes fake seiko bands exist.
anyway, its about the same price buying direct from thong sia...so better just buy original.
*
Ah i didnt actually read into the description. Was browsing for some nato straps and this came up in one of the suggestion list, since it looked similar to ck's brokrn band i just copy pasted the link. Didnt actually clicked into it.

Guys, my wife's vintage seiko 5 2906-5070 handed down from her mom has stopped working. No amount of swinging brings it back to life.

Where in KL do you suggest that i can have it looked into?

Perhaps one way is to go for a diagnostic check on what part is the culprit, and source e-bay for it yourself.
*
tried ebay but doesnt seem to have the exact same watch model. others of the same movement advertised is also not in good condition too, selling for "parts" or "require service".

I am wondering if we can transplant a newer movement into this watch, retaining the dial and hands

either way i am googling up some other watch repairers within klang valley dulu and let them check out what is the problem dulu, gonna do as u suggested - diagnostic check on the culprit dulu.
