if you go 20mm, the gap is obvious
if you go 22mm, the ends will scrunch up and also make it harder to remove next time
21mm can easily be found if you buy from ebay/ali. alternatively can always get ppl to custom make leather strap

there are a few modders out there were you can buy the watch readily-made from.

BUT

it wont be cheap, AND they're not based here in Msia, so either they dont ship here, or the cost of shipping is gonna be a killer.

SO

you get better chances by buying the parts separately, and have it assembled locally by many watch repairman here.

Yes you can say so. The production of SKX007/009/011 has stopped and whatever you can find in the shops and online retailers are the residual stocks.

HOWEVER

the stopping of SKX007/009/011 is nothing surprising when Seiko has moved on and introduced a new reiteration (albeit downgraded in terms of waterproofing) of the classic SKX look with this new seiko 5 range

Apa takut run out of stock? that is only if you're a "purist" lah. a few online sellers now produce and sell SKX case copies and hey, when assembled with other SKX parts they can look just exactly like one which nobody can tell it apart anyway.

narrow down your search to local sellers instead of overseas sellers. at least you have better chance of recourse compared to dealing with a seller outside of the country.

i cant asnwer whether Lazada/Shopee seller fakes or ori, it's a platform of multiple sellers. Even fake watch sellers can get high ratings.

if you want assurance, then dont skimp. pay a fair value. if you want cheap deals, be ready to take risks.

Your source of parts will be from overseas sellers - crystaltimes, dagaz, yobokies, namoki, DLW, OSC, etc.

Buy everything you want, then get local watch repairman to swap the parts for you for labour fee

if it is keeping time within spec (50 hours of power reserve with +25/-15 sec/day), then dont service it yet.

Price wise i serviced my 7S at about RM120 - RM150, i dunno if it is any different with 6R

I have also heard of USJ taipan and Amcorp mall but i have never been there for watch servicing
