I still prefer my mm200. The outright quality of that watch is tangible.

i only wished it came with 22mm lug width instead of 20mm.

QUOTE(overmars @ Oct 11 2019, 03:38 PM)
Hi guys, i was given a Seiko Prospex SRP775K1 as a gift. The bracelet is too heavy and i changed to an aftermarket leather strap which i absolutely love.

After a while though the deployment clasp has become so loose that i have readjust it during every wear, which really defeats the purpose of having deployment clasp.

Tried to find a replacement clasp but all shops that i go to only sell together with their leather strap. So guys, I'm wondering if the deployment clasp of original bracelet could be used on leather strap? Or anyone knows any shops that sell and fix good 22mm deployment clasp around Klang Valley?

Thanks!
*
As long as the width at the strap end matches, yes you can swap the deployant clasp.

i have done it on my straps, but of course mine are cheapo deployants bought from aliexpress.

u can also buy just the deployant clasps alone from aliexpress.

what do u mean the deployant clasp is loose? like doesn't snap back properly?
then ya, better go buy a better clasp... just make sure to measure properly.

and no, u can't put the clasp from original bracelet on a leather strap since u don't have the links to connect them together.
*
From what I understand his writing, he meant the deployant on his leather strap, not the bracelet

QUOTE(kotmj @ Oct 31 2019, 01:42 AM)
I had the modification done by a certain Yook Hong, but the results were really bad. When I sent my dispatch boy to collect the watch from him, he told me he has to redo the mod because the seconds hand fell off. He sent me this picture.

user posted image

One day later, he had it ready again. When I received it, I noticed than the hands are misaligned.

user posted image

He said he can redo the mod. Then, I found out the real reason for the misalignment: the minute hand brushes against the hour hand when they pass over each other. Now, the hour hand has abrasion marks on its surface.

Yook Hong asked me if the hands are original Seiko. What a stupid statement. I told him the lume tells you everything.

Anyway, I wasted RM80 plus transport costs and now I have a scratched hour hand. The hands are still abrading.

Also, he managed to scratch the case back while opening it. The scratch is quite obvious.

This Yook Hong knows nothing about watches. Useless.

From where did you came to know this guy, and what made you decided to try him?

y sell off skx?
*
I have the skx013, so I thought an extra skx is redundant
I had it swapped for the snzf

A year later someone offered to buy off my skx013 for a reasonable price.

So both skxes got offloaded. Not in hurry to get one again.

blackout mod?

I have 2pcs f-91 too  rclxms.gif
*
Black because it matches with anything you throw in, be it straps or clothing.

I did have plans for a blackout stealth skx using case from crystaltimes, but not now. Some other time. Bajet takdak. The cost for such a mod can get me a stock mm200 so I don't have the reason to justify spending.

I just calar my seiko cocktail. Sakit hati everytime seeing it.

Bought the sapphires from crystaltimes.net. then got it swapped by Steven of wah foong.

Not sure if cttimes carries sapphire for cocktail. Alternatively you can also ask if thongsia can order.

So what if it is a 2009 yet looks new?

There are shops that kept NOS bcoz nobody was looking for it and so it sat there on display for like, years.
