Well it's just 100m WR. plenty of other 5s that has the same rating but looks miles better than the aged skx007/9.

Sure there is some kind of charm in the classical look of the skx, but hey one of the reason the skx is a worthy proposition is it's allegedly ISO certified dive watch with a 200m WR. (I'd trust going swimming or any water activities with my 200m WR watch than a 100m WR watch any time.) plus if you loved that look, so just buy THE skx, instead of a supposed replacement that retained the same look, but watered down (pun intended) downgraded case/WR.

I believe there is still plenty of NOS floating around. personally if i am gonna pay close to rm1k for a used SKX (as a result of ppl goreng due to "discontinued"), no thanks i'll keep my money for something else.

Well you're asking me about the 5-series. SKX007/009 doesnt carry "5" logo. so we can say both are in different product segment.

But now the replacement skx allegedly carries the (redesigned) "5", so if we are to compare it with SNZH/ZNZF (as "5" to "5") i say the latter looks much better to my eyes. so yeah, the "5" skx is redundant imho. as i said in earlier post, might as well buy THE original skx007/9 rather than this supposed replacement.

busuk2 if service cost expensive, just buy a seiko 5 less than 300 or buy SII NH36/NE15 and swap kaw the movement.

ebay can also be a place to source original seiko dials of other models.

or are you asking if there is any modder who can help you swap dials? if just swapping dials any watch maker who can open up your watch, can do it. just buy your own dial and bring along lah... 5-10 mins work only.

But personally i would not want to go through the hassle of nego and just buy wherever is the cheapest offered

i used to. after a while i ditched natos, coz on an 18mm lug width it felt just so off

i changed to wearing leather strap with bund piece for a while. but after some time i spoiled the hole so just last week i went and swap out to a cheapo silicon strap bought off from ebay. maybe after a while i'd buy another leather strap again.

the bund would accentuate the snk to look bigger than it actually is.

actually the SNK case would look even better polished.

but the last time i ask for the cost, it'srm 200+ for the polishing job, almost the money i paid for the watch itself so i decided to leave it as it is
