You planning to sell off all your SARBs? They're probably the last of its kind
The trend with affordable seikos now seem to be 40mm diameter with 4r35 movement and the word "Presage" labelled on the dial.

QUOTE(hazzery @ Apr 13 2018, 06:22 PM) The Big Crown Pointer Date will look like alpinist Sarb017, but without the inner compass.. The teaser sent to me. It'll be much smaller than the Alpi, and let's face it the compass it's useless to the likes of us.Fall in love with Oris Diver sixty five 36mm... Just nice for my small wrist.. But but but... Ayam is so poor.. huhu [attachmentid=9730338] |

QUOTE(where @ Apr 13 2018, 09:44 PM) The seiko alpinist to me has a slight annoyance. The compass gets moved far too easily and regularly. Confirm retail RM7.9k, discount haven't bincang. Any ideas how much that new Oris will cost in MYR? I'm not sure why but I'm lukewarm about buying Oris watches at RRP or even with 15% off. Maybe huge discount I will consider. Just my own odd perception of that brand value I guess Getting off topic already.. should move the discussion to Oris thread |

This one is likely to go back to market. Consistently in and out of love with it, and it might be better off going to a wrist that will give it more time (no pun intended).

QUOTE(waka14 @ Apr 18 2018, 10:32 PM) But if i show i can get it for Rm708, but their shop selling Rm949... I doubt they'll reduce that much...or will they? 😅 They will honour the price on their website as long as you mentioned you say that price on the site.To make it clear, the price IN jammaymay site, not some random link. QUOTE(chinti @ Apr 19 2018, 07:35 PM) Depends on your comfort level. Massdrop doing a run on SJX now for $170, probably one of the cheaper deals around atm.Creation Watches also does decent deals, locally there's ken jr. All are grey, but skx is pretty robust so going grey is fine for me. |

QUOTE(c0okiem0nster @ Apr 25 2018, 02:23 PM) Hi I'm thinking of getting a Seiko diver (only have dressy pieces from Seiko). I really want an SPB053, but have to save some money for new house. I believe you can get all 3 on displays, so go try them out. Each of them feels very different and it's hard to have an objective discussion on it.Should I go for SKX or Turtle? Or should I wait first and go for SPB053? Thanks!! Turtle is a superior piece on paper compared to SKX, but I still chose an SKX. I have the SBDC059, it's really really nice |

QUOTE(c0okiem0nster @ Apr 25 2018, 03:55 PM) I see.. If I may ask what made you choose SKX i/o turtle? For me, SKX size sits much better with me and the case shape feels more natural as well. I could also be wrong, but I felt the Turtle was slightly on the heavy side (might be just due to the straps). But on terms of movement and whatnot, of course the latter wins hands down.Oh wow, lucky I'm not really into emerald, otherwise lagi pening Yea, I think the SBDC is a winner that just tips below the crazy price Seiko has started to push their releases towards. |

QUOTE(watabakiu @ May 13 2018, 08:58 PM) Comparison-wise, which is better? i think 7S26 is a later technology compared to 4R36? but 4R36 has been around since 2013, and supposed to be a workhorse for Seiko5 until now? In simple terms, yes. It's like Toyota having the RM50k Vios all the way until the RM1mil Lexus. Movement, material, finishing, workmanship, etc all differs. So Seiko 5 is a 'cheaper' variant for automatic Seiko, compared to its GS? |
