So, I'm tired of looking at the puny, overly short hands on my mini turtle. I bought two sets of original Seiko hands. One from a snzf (sea urchin, I think). The other from the skx007. I just placed them on the crystal to simulate how they would look when installed in the watch. Which looks better?

I had the modification done by a certain Yook Hong, but the results were really bad. When I sent my dispatch boy to collect the watch from him, he told me he has to redo the mod because the seconds hand fell off. He sent me this picture.



One day later, he had it ready again. When I received it, I noticed than the hands are misaligned.



He said he can redo the mod. Then, I found out the real reason for the misalignment: the minute hand brushes against the hour hand when they pass over each other. Now, the hour hand has abrasion marks on its surface.

Yook Hong asked me if the hands are original Seiko. What a stupid statement. I told him the lume tells you everything.

Anyway, I wasted RM80 plus transport costs and now I have a scratched hour hand. The hands are still abrading.

Also, he managed to scratch the case back while opening it. The scratch is quite obvious.

This Yook Hong knows nothing about watches. Useless.

Isn't if you buy from AD in Japan. The most discount they give is just the Tax Refund and the prices they give is best they can do.

I not sure if anything is much different if you go to smaller chain like Higuchi Inc?

if budget below rm50 can get from shopee just search 20mm watch straps and you can buy based on the review ratings

if you want a local leather strap maker can try Aming Leathercraft on facebook.. you could also probably ask him to stamp your friend's initials on the strap

as for cheapnatostraps, I have one of their (Kvarnsjö Suede Vintage Gray) strap.. quality is thin not very nice to wear tbh.. and doesn't look good irl compared to picture

end up I just didn't wear it and just keep as spare strap

If it is manufactured in 2019, then there is a big question mark.
Seiko officially announced stop sarb033 in early 2018, around feb. Then why are they still producing this in 2019?
If they sell out this movemnet to third party, very high chance i am getting a fake seiko and the warranty also cant claim isnt it?
But who can identified whether the watch is genuine product? The official seiko retail shop?

U mean the see through case back 6r15d? Did they ever sell the movement to others?
