QUOTE(KoYuKii @ Jul 4 2017, 06:42 PM)
hi guys, i wanna ask what's the diff between seiko5 SNZH and SNZF?

which is 1 more preferable for modding ?
*
One is a blancpain homage, another is submariner homage.
They're both distinct and has its own fan.

With snzh, ppl usually go with blancpain fifty fathoms mod.
With snzf, oh well not many ppl actually mod to look like a sub though. I find that the stock look in itself is pretty nice.

QUOTE(LimitEDition @ Jul 7 2017, 07:59 PM)
hi guys.. im contemplating between these two

initially i wanted to buy the citizen divers with bracelets but found these two instead!
the seiko wears a bit larger than my wrist but i believe it is now very hard to find (or rare?)
but the citizen has just the perfect size but the downside is the strap (not so much, im ok with it but prefer the bracelet)
what do u guys think?  sweat.gif

Between this 2, i prefer Citizen. There is always aftermarket bracelet. But just a heads up. Citizen Msia is an unresponsive nincompoop.

QUOTE(fuzzy @ Jul 13 2017, 12:13 PM)
yea, the SARB015. Came together with the 017 (green) and the 013 (cream) but somehow different hands and looks.
*
QUOTE(lucifah @ Jul 13 2017, 12:15 PM)
yes, got 2 version of the black alpinist.

The SARB015 (6r15, 38mm, 2008) and SCVF005 (4s15, 36mm, 1996)

the much rarer is the SCVF, which is sometime known as the red alpinist series and it has that GS hand-me-down 4s15 movement
*
how about SARG003?

What model is this? Hah

Looks great le
*
QUOTE(fuzzy @ Jul 13 2017, 01:39 PM)
That's the legendary SKX007
*
Sorry brah, it is SKX013. I just swapped out the hands.

QUOTE(youngy @ Jul 13 2017, 01:55 PM)
Ah.. I see. It has a smaller diameter compared to SKR009, right? Hmm... I might be wrong. The size is like Seiko Blue Lagoon Turtleback?
*
SKX013/015 is midsize 38mm smaller than the SKX007/009 at 42mm

QUOTE(fuzzy @ Jul 13 2017, 02:17 PM)
If I remember correctly, you can probably source the turtle close to the price of SKX these days, if it was me, I'd go with the turtles.

Poison a bit.

[attachmentid=8962585]
*
The price of SKX007/009 is crazy these days. Just last night i was walking in Pertama, all open price at 1.6k. The cheapest after nego was 1.2k, if pay by cash. farking crazy itellyu.

now i start to regret abit for trading away my 009 for an Urchin.

Ok la, 013 and 007 abang adik just mainly hand difference. And ya price really insane nowdays. Might as well top up a bit go get a turtle.

Mudah has a couple of 007/9 floating around between 600-800 though, if anyone was looking for one.
*
Why bother used when can get new for just abit over rm800 from ebay (Singapore seller), right? unless seller willing to sell less than 400 lah.

somehow turtle case shape doesnt excite me. indifferent more likely. like how sarb017 to me.

does it fit? that SRP619 dial looks kinda big compared to the usual seiko 5 28mm dials that yobokies usually sell.

What's the rarity of an SRP313 people? Planning to hunt for one smile.gif
*
Aka blood monster aka dracula.

Used to be had for rm600+ but my heart was more attracted to the black monster srp307, which was going for 800+ that time. But since i wasnt wanting it as badly as an skx (yea i know, stupid me) i just skipped it, and now i cant find any new monster in that price range anymore. Damn.

Anyway the monster no longer sings to me. I may get one for the sake of just having one in the box but i dont see myself wearing it as much as it deserves so i guess better not waste money on it.

Now i am reading more about putting a 6r15 into an skx, interesting mod but overall i would spend in excess of rm1k for the mod job. Buy a used alpinist? Hahahhah

Honestly, I am caught in between 2nd gen Monsters and new Samurais (SRPB55 etc) Might just get the Samurai if I can find a cheap one.

But damn, a 6r15 on an SKX. Godly
*
Go get the samurai lah.

Yeah apparently it seems to be a direct drop-in into the skx case. Just need to get the crown stem of a sarg59 and we're set. But lose out on the day wheel lah because 6r15 dont have day. Unless u salvage some parts from the outgoing 7s26 and mount into the 6r. Alternatively just use a dial with only date hole. Anyway as interesting and possible it is, i just am not prepared to dump in that much of money . The 6r alone is about 500+ not including shipping. The crown stem is almost 300 shipped.

samurai... but just make sure u don't get one with misaligned crown.
quite a bit have been returned as defects in US... but also got some that are ok.
the ones in SG now look to have all misaligned also.
knowing seiko they will return all back and say its within tolerance...or maybe the US returned ones seiko decided to send to Asia tongue.gif
the blue samurai somehow has no such issues... maybe cos being LE was only made in one factory with better qc.
*
Was it really misaligned crown or just viewing angle problem?

those who say viewing angle are probably cross eyed.
go follow the thread on wus on new samurai... can see some have very obvious misalignment... stock photo also show the same.
*

The SRPB55 is good looking for sure. But first thing I'm gonna do is mod and remove the fat hour hand and make it slightly thinner lol
*
If you're gonna do it, I'd like to buy off that hand from you, or one shot sekali jalan the whole hand set lah.
