dvi is the best for lcds

black bars? when playing games?

maybe he means 2 black bars at the left and right of 4:3 apps

was thinking of upgrading my CRT to LCD monitor.

A 19" will be enough for me just wondering either the normal or widescreen. Mainly for Gaming so a good respone time is a must. Which brand or model to go with? budget is around 1k.

pls advice!

hmmm ... but apps rarely have black bars.

maybe games but almost all the new ones support widescreen. and some of the older ones that don't support can be modified to support widescreen.

Actually 19" non-wide is best for all purpose..19" wide is short in screen width..In addition, most video we have is not widescreen.. Just widescreen is the new trend now.. if u r going for widescreen, consider Dell 22" wide which is only RM999.

I have 2 days experience on it.. Very value for money..

yup...it comes with a DVI cable & VGA cable...

when using DVI cable , LCD cannot use "auto screeen adjust" (viewsonic)
what about other brands ?

FP241W was the best choice also 1080 p.... and hdmi socket.............

any1 ever know about this brand? the sale person say its
US brand, but i dun care la,

when i chk the quality looks cool, gettting ready to play games

is it true that the crt monitor is better compared to dvi lcd in terms of graphics?

I just change Samsung 932B "Plus" @RM820 (Thundermatch). extra RM20 932b old model.

Previous model Samsung 971p text quality a bit blur , and problem ghosting image (red color) . http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/ghosting_test.html

Yes, I have tested the unit last year. It is definitely very good for its price. The brand is still quite new in Malaysia.

I like to change from CRT to LCD. Can i get recommendations from u'll?
1. widescreen
2. for movie and minimum gaming purposes, means multimedia
3. inches: i think 20" is sufficient
4. any brand, any price as long as its worth the value.
