If you're going for those 22" you mentioned, chances are those panels performs about the same. It is just the exterior design which are different, and the panel are all build on TN panel. So the difference you see when you compare side by side is just different settings of respective factory tune their display before sending it to consumer.

If I were you, I would go for DELL 228WFP due to the excellent warranty policy compared to others. Hope this helps.

UltraSharpTM 2208WFP vs 228WFP

Only differences are the usb ports and the adjustability of the monitor? Or quality of display, ultrasharp is better?

In my opinion, they should name it "UltraStand" if the different is only with the support stand instead of better panel or display. smile.gif

Guys, hope I can get some help here... I'm thinking of buying an LCD that can display 1080p, as long as it doesnt need to downsize to fit the screen. I dont want a full HD cuz its gonna cost me a bomb, just want something that can display 1080p full screen nicely. Whats the cheapest price range I can get 1 of these? Looking for either Sony or Samsung only. The sole purpose for it is to play PS3 only, nothing else smile.gif

U need to state ur budget first, if not there will be crazy recommendation from RM 10K and above ~! tongue.gif

I assume that Ur budget will be quite low, I suggest a Sony KLV-32V400A/B for rm3K or Sony KLV-32S400A for rm2.5K

Source http://www.sonystyle.com.my/product/produc...ubcategoryid=37

It accept 1080P signal which means U can play ps3 at 1080P.

2 - you really meant it.

CNET’s done the first review of this 27 incher that will first appear in Australia for $1200 AU ( thats about $1150 US). With resolution 1920 x 1200, fonts on our OS should be quite clearer and easier to see compared to say a 24 incher.

The 2709WFP has for input two DVI ports, DisplayPort, HDMI and three 3.5mm audio jacks which passthrough HDMI. The 2709WFP has touch sensitive buttons, five of them to be exactly appearing when we need (touch) them.

Since there are so many people goin for TV instead of monitor why don't we go for TV instead of monitor LCD I mean. LCD TV is so much bigger with not much price difference to the 24".

while bigger, lcd tv do not sport higher resolution(averagely is 1366x768, and 1920x1080 in full hd). In comparison to a typical 24" monitor which will give you 1920x1200 pixels or a 30" with 2560x1600pixels.

it only enlarges the size of the fonts because the size of each pixel gets bigger, doesn't make it any clearer...although it is easier to read for people who have difficulty with the small pixel size on 24"

because as kc pointed out the resolution on TV's are horrible, try using a tv as a monitor, the fonts have to be really big or they will be very blurry, especially on lower resolution TVs
and TVs with high resolutions are very expensive compared to their monitor counterparts

I see.... ahh. well above 22" is still a big gap in price for monitors I guess its not worth to get 24" yet.
Thanks for the info guys. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
