QUOTE(yushin @ Jun 12 2008, 11:50 AM) Currently Dell Malaysia only has 2707WFP so I'll just focus on this model. I'm jbrian but live in sg atm, dell sg here selling the 2707wfp around sgd1.3k after convert is around rm3k. Viewsonic doesnt have HDMI rite? I think i will wait for 2708wfp for the hdmi input since the composite(component rite? suppose) input does look weak to me. have you try hdmi - dvi cable. Any quality different? The other brand that can compare to it in Malaysia in viewsonic 28 inch LCD monitor, model number not sure. Dell 2707 price is in the range between 3199 to 3499 but you can get it at 2899 during pc fair. I got my 2707 with 5 years premium panel warranty during pc fair at 3099. Can flexi payment summore. Viewsonic 28 inch price is in the range between 2.6k to 2.8k, I can't remember the exact price. I remember I did saw that monitor at the IT shop in cineleisure beside the curve. You can go there to take a look if you're in Klang valley. I choose dell 2707 because it has good warranty. Currently I'm connecting my ps3 to the monitor using composite input. My pc uses the DVI input Vga input is use to connect my notebook. I plan to buy a DVI switching device but until now can't find it. Not in a hurry anyway coz the PS3 games I play all max output only 720p. The composite input in 2707 can support until 1080i. Hope my experience with 2707 can help you in making your decision. I might end up with Ultrasharp 2408wfp for the hdmi and display port input. I will wait another month to see whether the 2708 will avaible here soon. For your info 2408wfp is selling around sgd900 here. I'm actually hunting others 27" onwards with hdmi input, but I really love ultrasharp. Oledi 3++yrs of 2007wfp owner. I'm buying a new one mainly becoz of PS3 and going for dual display for pc. This post has been edited by juine: Jun 13 2008, 12:42 PM |

I'm saving for this and it is almost here : D
![]() CNET’s done the first review of this 27 incher that will first appear in Australia for $1200 AU ( thats about $1150 US). With resolution 1920 x 1200, fonts on our OS should be quite clearer and easier to see compared to say a 24 incher. The 2709WFP has for input two DVI ports, DisplayPort, HDMI and three 3.5mm audio jacks which passthrough HDMI. The 2709WFP has touch sensitive buttons, five of them to be exactly appearing when we need (touch) them. Cnet Review here |

QUOTE(Kytz @ Jun 20 2008, 04:26 PM) it only enlarges the size of the fonts because the size of each pixel gets bigger, doesn't make it any clearer...although it is easier to read for people who have difficulty with the small pixel size on 24" i know, but since i dont upgrade my lcd so often so just going for the bigger n better screen. Although the price not so attractive but i think it is worth it since i gona use it most of the time. Im still waitin to see how it gona pair with ps3 from ppl who buying it first coz im gona use mainly for my ps3. I tested with sony bravia 42" 1080p back in my jb house the image wasn so sharp. N i dont think my landlord in sg will hapy to see i move that tv in. I hapen to work in lcd panel industry doing QC so i know abit how those pixel thing work. Thanks for the advice. Sory if i didnt paragraph, coz on mobile now. |
