i think this only applies to US. the e71 dash-bricking happen to a few unmodded machines. e71 was fixed free of charge (some have to pay shipping). other errors can be fixed at USD140 if it was out of warranty. and rmb, no warranty sticker = makan sendiri

December 2006 Backward Compatibility Update?

For a brief moment in time, an updated version of the Xbox 360's backwards compatibility list was exposed for all the internet to see. Though it was yanked in a matter of minutes, one new entry stood out like an atomic mushroom cloud in a serene, children's playground. Not to imply that Psychonauts is capable of melting children or flooding large masses of land with deadly radiation, but its presence was rather devastating to the psyche.

In case you weren't aware (and clearly you aren't much of the time), Tim Schafer and his team at Double Fine did extraordinary things with Psychonauts, managing to take the seemingly incompatible platformer and adventure genres and mash them together like two pieces of clay. That's before they twisted the whole mess into a variety of amusing shapes.

Oh, there's a whole bunch of other new games too. However, when asked about the exact release date of this December update, Microsoft warned us that the list is not final. "We'll have more news soon -- as I'm sure you're aware with any software development, things can change at any time so we want to make an announcement when we're sure we've got the final, solid list."

anywayyyyy back to the xbox....its pretty quiet Christmas eh? Only Lost Planet to look forward to..and WE X for those who dont mind the jap version..

I saw in PA there was a lost planet bundle Xbox360 coming soon in december. which is really tempting coz it also comes with 3 months xboxlive, but the problem is that it also stated there that it is a Japan set, which mean if anything wrong the unit must be sent back to japan to claim warranty? Wonder will there be an asian release which we can get from singapore.

Most probably wont be available here, like that Blue Dragon bundle. If got also maybe the shop import one from Japan, not official release by MS so yea if anything happen have to ship back to Japan for warranty.

I don't know whether this is the right place to ask, but..

My computer is on a wifi connection. I'm using a wifi adapter to get my connection from another computer.

I've hooked up my 360 to my computer via network cable, and now my 360 is free to stream music and pictures from my PC.

I've a few questions:
1. how exactly do I get video streaming to work? it can only play videos from the 360's hard disk.

2. how do I set up ICS with my computer? or since I'm on wireless, I can't set up ICS, instead I've to use a wireless adapter on the 360 to go online? oh, hooking up the 360 to the wireless router isn't an option because the wireless router is connected to my sibling's pc, not mine.

You need to bridge the wifi and wired connection. Right-click My Network Places, select Properties. Right click you wifi connection, select Bridge Connections. XP will create another network connection for you.

thanks MK84 finally got my Xbox Live started but couldn't create a gamertag coz screamyx giving problems

edit: but I still can't get the videos to play! keeps on saying no videos found even on my thumbdrive it can't detect!
