I second that...the competition always lead to something better for US... just sometimes I wonder..what the hell Sony is doing now with its PS3... seems like there is no effort at all from them...to counter the Microsoft... I guess tehy r more worried with Wii.....

But arj..the 360 only support Dolby Digital format..why not wait for the price of a dedicated HD-DVD player to be reduced first bfore jumping into it...at least it supoort 5.1 DTS and 7.1..for movie..those sounds format really makes a different....

Hmm..wonder where u get that info as the process of encoder is ALWAYS depending on its source and output connector???? Excerpt from 360 HD-DVD player review:
"Moving to audio, HD DVD offers support for Dolby Digital Plus and the lossless Dolby TrueHD. However, with no HDMI output and no discreet audio connectors on the add-on unit itself, the best you can hope for with the 360 add-on is a down-mixed Dolby Digital 5.1 signal output via the optical audio output on the component and VGA leads. In the coming months, Microsoft plans to upgrade this output to full-bitrate 1500kbps DTS, which should result in an audio mix that at least gets close to the next gen audio formats HD DVD supports"

My separate home theater system is 3 years old already, its just mid-level system which consists mostly British and Japanese product such as mission speakers, yamaha yst series subwoofer, with yamaha receiver....and the only high-end level componnet.of my system is the speaker cables and its connector which is US made by Kimber Kable.
String, U can always refer to "what Hi-Fi" magazine for the recommended mid-level home theater system, especially the octobber edition for the Ultimate Guide to Home Cinema. By if u r aiming for the high-end separate system, it is highly recommended to buy mostly US made audio components, by refering to any uS published audiophile magazine... This is just my opinion..as I am not really an expert in this field...
By the way, for me, the blueray capability which is supported by PS3 is sufficeinet enough for me to enjoy the next generation of HD-movies..if I do own the PS3 now...

tell me about it..havent used it for movies since the born of my second daughter... so, I guess it is a waste of money if i keep upgrading it, i can say nearly 99% of the times i used it only for my xbox 360,...u can always opt for the sony home theater package that fit with the beauty of your bravia x....saw in yesterday's newspaper advert...they even packaged it together with 40inch bravia x with the price tag of RM20k...

Nothing wrong for buying it....i guess..as it is the cheapest upgrade u can buy for viewing HD movies.... the best thing about it..is u can always connect it with your PC under windows vista....and for win xp..requires a bit hacking (read about it somewhere)..so, u can have the best for both worlds

I'll opt for this device too once the support of DTS output is implemented, as I believe the price of HD-DVD is lower than the Blueray disc...

I sleep only when i arrive at the office.......and i wake up before lunch...and going back home afterwards...unless if tehre is a meeting..that will be another story.....

I know....my body cant take it anymore...feeling like a locust when evryone at the office...thats it..no more GoWing for me.....darn..the lost planet will be out soon....

lerrr..this also can become a topic....senanglah cakap...if your co account end on december...most of your work will be dealing with company auditor....how much to pay for the bonus..what needs to be done to reduce company tax....bla bla bla...u can ask the other company directors....they do the same too....nowadays, being the sme company, your staff always have high expectation for the bonus..at least for 3 months.....so...rather than showing my happy face...might as well i look a locust during working hours..so no one dare to ask me the same question over n over again...now..let me c..how much left ..so i can use it to buy lost planet...

sigh..if only i can work like string..works around those pretty gals.....but i guess lately, the policy has been changed, hard to find the very pretty one even in bizz class, maybe i took wrong flight schedule last time....

DOAX2....this morning ..at 3 am..after getting pawned so darn hard in GoW last nite....switched off my 360...n instead playing with the astro remote..keeps changing the channel...tried the Asian Game....lucky got women beach volleyball..3 sets somemore... i was smiling all the way to heaven....
