hey this is an intersting topic, bout 8 -10 years back in secondary school i sued to play this too, i bought mine tamiya, diy, shaft driven ... yeah i know its old ... i think most of the cars nowadays are all belt driven already rite ...

i think my batts are all dead, cant find my tranceiver ... and i think i have a missing part ... the part - i think is a bearing, where u put into the wheels before tighten the nuts to car ...

i bought mine like 1100 bucks back then with remotes and servos, 4 oil absorbers ... 200 i think, wheels + tyres 400 ... damn kau expensive back then ...

i have no idea, that was so long ago ... back then, when i bought the shaft driven model, there was some very expensive belt driven model ... this was back when i was in form 4, 1997 ...

so now its all back to shaft again ar ... to get myself started back on this, how much is the budget? below 1k? including transceiver?

---

i just googled, seems that the tt01 is fuly assembled, and some part are kinda similiar, the one i had was from tamiya also, its all DIY ...

This one beginner in rc lar. Shaft driven is not something new doh.gif

Tamiya TA-01 and TA-02 are shaft driven way before the TA-03 which is belt driven.

tsk tsk tsk, then TA05 is driven by what? magic? tongue.gif both shaft and belt are still strong in the market, and it's up to personal preference but if you go back into history of couse belt came along first and then followed by shaft. If you have any of those old Tamiya catalogues, just go take a look see at what the old chassis uses smile.gif
