Yeah,... that's why you need to open asap,...if you have to pay the fall below fee, it's just SGD2 per month, right ? Then pay them bro,.. you have a pipe to send your funds down,...

What is SGD2, or RM6.00 if you are earning SGD dividends per month ?? Worth it, right ??

To open a Standard Chartered Singapore eSavers Account and a Trading Account :-

1) Call Standard Chartered Singapore CS line at : 65-67477000.

2) In case the CS personnel refers you to their Online Equities Team, the number is : 65-62425333.

3) Ask them what documents you needed to bring along to open your accounts. Prepare those documents. Plan your trip down to Singapore.

4) Buy air-tickets - AirAsia or Tiger Airways. Fly down on the set day.

5) From Changi Airport, take the MRT to Raffles Place Station. Need to change train once at Tanah Merah Station.

6) You can walk from Raffles Place Station to the Standard Chartered Main Outlet at 1 Battery Road.

Done !!!

The cheapest way to do is in the above,... I don't get anything by doing this,.. perhaps good karma only,...

For the benefit of my thread-followers :-

1) If you use Maybank2U to do yr TT, the charge is ONLY RM10, but the limitation is you can only TT a maximum of RM10000 per day, PER ACCOUNT ! The rate you will have to use os the board rate on the Forex Rates webpage of Maybank2U.

2) If you wish to have a better rate, you need to use the TT Form, approach the branch, and the branch may help you to call Maybank Treasury to get a better rate. The amount TT'ed must be, normally, RM60000 and above. The charge here will be RM25.00 per TT.

3) If you TT to Maybank Singapore or to DBS, there is no charge at the receiving bank.

TT is NOT THE ONLY method to transfer funds out of the country. There are other creative ways, in order to get better rates, and to get lower charges.

We have other advantages compared to many countries, especially when compared against the western countries. the advantages are :-

1) We are NOT TAXED on our overseas income, hence, from whatever we make from our overseas investments, we don't have to pay taxes, LEGALLY.

We don't even have to declare on this income.

Many western countries impose taxes on worldwide income. The US is 'discouraging' American citizens from investing overseas.

2) The Gov't is no more discouraging us from sending funds overseas, unlike during that PM's time. It's more of a free economy now, this is one thing good abt the current leader.

3) We are near to a country that is now a worldwide financial hub, the culture is the same, the people are similar,... why not take the advantage to join in onto the bandwagon ?

No need to go far, bros,... just travel down 350 km only,....

Many people in the world wish to invest also can't find the above advantages, especially those from western countries, and those from the developed countries. Take the opportunity, bros,..... before the doors are closed.

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's central bank on Friday (Nov 11) severely curtailed trading of the ringgit after overnight rates against the US dollar jumped by close to 5 per cent.

Local banks are only allowed to offer dollars at Thursday's cheaper range and for specific corporate payments only.

The shock move has left traders in a lurch, and sparked fears that the ringgit - already battered in the past two years - would face huge selldown when the controls are lifted.

It is understood that no information was given as to whether the currency controls would be lifted ahead of the weekend.
