1) Call Standard Chartered Singapore CS line at : 65-67477000.

2) In case the CS personnel refers you to their Online Equities Team, the number is : 65-62425333.

3) Ask them what documents you needed to bring along to open your accounts. Prepare those documents. Plan your trip down to Singapore.

4) Buy air-tickets - AirAsia or Tiger Airways. Fly down on the set day.

5) From Changi Airport, take the MRT to Raffles Place Station. Need to change train once at Tanah Merah Station.

6) You can walk from Raffles Place Station to the Standard Chartered Main Outlet at 1 Battery Road.

Good news for PhD students at NTU!

My prof just told me that MOE Singapore approved a pay rise of 22000 SGD over the next 3 years for all PhD students!

That translates to 611.11 SGD a month increase!

My new salary will be 2.8k SGD and I will be saving nearly 2.2k SGD a month or more than 7500 MYR a month!

All are old women and old man in their 40s and 50s... Youngest one is at least 10 years older than me... I am the youngest one there

5 men (including me) meeting 3 women above 30 years old... No spark at all  

The woman sitting opposite me 50 years old but have a thick lipstick makeup straightaway turn me off. She looks more like vampire...

The 30 year old organizer is a nurse from Clementi, but she only has eyes for man of the same age as her.

The meetup profile pictures are a trap, they look older than they do on the Internet.

In the end, more like a social networking event for me. Met with nurse, accountant professional, michelin star restaurant chef, SIA quality assurance engineer, confectionary marketing personnel etc. Got a name card from the accountant. He asked me to call him when need to set up a company in SG lol. Can go hiking with him also as he is a bit fat and wanna lose weight.

Won't be going for a second time anytime soon...  The confectionary marketing guy and accountant advised me to be more proactive when chasing girls, cannot be passive like them old-age people. Will see what I can do lah. I established some contacts with old friends in SG already (one architect girl got bf liao never mind... the other is still single and last semester in NTU, ajak her for meal no reply...)

Got a few more old male classmates from Micron in SG, they work straightaway after graduating from UM, probably introduced to Micron during career fair in UM. Still trying to establish contact with them.
