Bros,... you don't need to apply for the IPO. You can buy at the exchange when they (RMRB and TEKB) are quoted on the exchange !!

RMRB is has traded UP TO 1.053 since listing till now.

TEKB is holding at 1.022,.... above the par price of 1.000.

The thing is if you wished to use this as place to park your cash, you must ensure you are using the lowest brokerage platform possible to Buy and Sell. Secondly, you need to ensure the price moves up so that you can still sell at a lower price when the liquidity is low,... at the point when you needed to cash-out.

For Singtel, the fundamentals are just weak from its industry,...

This is SG's Amanah Saham Malaysia,... in a broad way,...

IPO price was $1.00. Just like our ASM.

Last close price yesterday was $1.07. Price has never dropped below $1.00 since listing.

I treat this as an instrument for me to park my money first, while waiting for opportunities to come. There will be liquidity, but you my need to sell over a few days if your holdings are large. You have to buy at a very attractive price in order to be able to 'escape' before the Call and Redemption Dates.

Otherwise, need to wait till Redemption Date to realize your investment. This instrument allows you to park your funds at rates higher than SG's FD rates.

I liken this instrument to our PNB's ASM funds, though there are dissimilar specs. This instrument gives a higher return (yield) compared to the SSB.

And you don't have to wait for the beginning of the following mth to retrieve your funds.

The previous release, Astrea IV allocated just 4k units only per investor at IPO stage.

Astrea IV's ticker is : RMRB.

Ticker symbol for Astrea V has not been assigned yet.

Anyway,.. Eagle Hospitality Trust starts trading tomorrow. Ticker Symbol has already been assigned : LIW.

The Astrea V - a PE Bond Fund issued by Azalea Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Hldgs, has been opened for subscription. This fund has most qualities similar with the Astrea IV, which was launched at June 18 last year. Some notable differences as follows :-
1) Public Offer size = S$180mil.
2) Coupon Rate = 3.85% only this time,...

Some opinions earlier,...

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) will be announcing its Monetary Policy Statement on Monday, Oct 14. A possible action would be.... the policy band being re-centred downwatds (to cater for the slowing economy) or the width of the band be made wider to allow more room for mkt-determined movements during this period of volatility.

The first action above would WEAKEN the SGD vs its major trading partners’ currencies.... the second action would allow the SGD to move either way in these economic times...

With a weakened SGD, REIT dpu's (paid out in the SGD) will be higher for REITs with overseas assets whose tenants pay in foreign currencies.

A good eg of such a REIT would be : Frasers Logistics and Industrial Trust, which has been experiencing dropping dpu in SGD, though the dpu in AUD has been growing.

Another good eg would be iREIT Global, which has been experiencing dropping dpu in SGD, though the dpu in the Euro has been growing.
