Yes new plugs do give better FC. BTW are you asking if FC would increase. That is also a yes, if wrong plugs are fitted.

Old or wrong plugs do not complete combustion process. Hence FC will increase!

Ooh ok, thanks for the info. I'm asking because my car has been consuming fuel much more than it used to be, now at 48k mileage. Since the new change of the servicing schedule from sc, they brought forward the change for spark plugs at 40k… I've postponed the change of the spark plugs to my coming service which is 50k since the sc says it will not affect my warranty as long as I bring the car back to sc. Is the spark plugs required to change this soon at 40k? Cos I've never came across changing a car's spark plugs this soon.

Also, I've heard that we have the white colored privilege card right, from a dealer sc meaning not directly under nasim they said there's a 10% discount on servicing at nasim owned branch, is this true?

IMO changing plugs at 50K should not affect your FC, but if your FC has increased then it is a good idea to change them. Check out functionality of oxygen sensor. This also leads to high FC if faulty.

Not sure about the white privilege card. I was one of the early buyers in 2012, no card at that time.

Mine is coming up to end on 5th year. Last week decided to check out FC on my way to Penang. Just before the trip I reset the counter, held 150kmh almost all the way, slowing down for traffic and AES spots. Was very pleased to note average FC 8.3/100, even at that speed.

This Prince is certainly quite an efficient engine! Very happy with it's reliability & performance even after 5 years!

Ahh… ok. But for the oxygen sensor normally if it's faulty certain indicator lights should come on? But mine has none at all.

Hi guys, just today I went to SC for 50k service, saw the side of my engine cover covered with some oil when I was doing a check b4 sending the car to service. So I told the SC about this they say most probably the gasket got harden and need replacement. But what I concern is, because I do not know when this issue started, so the loss of oil might do further damage to the engine. Somehow I saw the 308 there's always an "oil ok" check when u start the car but not in 408. So I have no idea what's going on with the oil in the engine since I got no warnings. Is there anything to be concerned with regarding this issue?

Nothing to worry bro! On 408 "OK" msg only appears if system check is requested, not at every start up. That's how the ECU software is set up. However if oil is low, then "oil low" warning will appear at OBD  before start.

Your oil leak is due to valve caver gasket gone brittle. Besides gasket, there are 4 O rings in the valve cover, these would be leaking too. You can buy these O rings & gasket at spare part shop. No need to change the whole valve cover. These rings & gasket last usually about 3 - 4years. Due our weather they harden & unable to form a complete seal. Small amount of  oil tends to leak out. Leakage is not large to damage engine.

Is your NA or THP?

Thanks for the info, Mine is the turbo version. and yes, what you said is per what the SC have told me. and they say it needs to be replace. However, my car is still under the manufacturer's 3 year warranty, as the car is just a little bit over 2 years old, just wondering if this is still covered under the warranty as it seemed to be a premature wear? The SC told me that he has to check with the warranty department on this, but unfortunately the warranty person was on leave, so have to wait until tuesday.

The EWP will be totally scrapped. This 7 years is from manufactures. Peugeot France will be launching 'customer win back program '. Everyone is welcome into this program, void warranty or 2nd buyer also welcomed. Only one condition to get this warranty, present owner must show proof the car was maintained at least once during the initial 3years at Peugeot SC.

For those 2nd buyer, get maintenance record during initial 3years. I'm sure SC will have records. Some SC have closed, l hope hard copy records are available with owners.

Any official announcement for this? as i was thinking of ditching the EWP warranty and service my car outside....lol

I'm going to need to change 4 of my tyres soon. Any suggestion? Would be better if it is more affordable than the original continentals (turbo model). I'm in JB area. Also, anyone experienced steering with slight vibration at speeds above 120KM/h but it slowly fades off once the speed passes 150 km/h. Also, when it's vibrating, you can feel somehow the steering is loose, where in you turn a little bit but there's no response. Thank you in advance.
