yeap I did there before few months back. Can feel the difference. i did it at 75k millage. gear shift was smoother and can
the 'hiss' sound was obvious. like when got it brand new. Planned to do it again at 100k.
while the decarbo was goin on, at the end of the exhaust pipe you can see black sludge oil.

he juz open a small opening and to put in hydrogen gas for 40min while engine is running. so basically wont affect warranty.

Power train & timing chain has been a problem with 308t. These issues have been fixed on the 408t. Some minor issues, usually sensors, but once fixed has not been a problem.I've had coolant temp. & ABS sensor failed 2 years ago. Changed on warranty, no problems, 5th year now.
Air con has been an issue. It's Denso, popular Japanese make. Looks like Denso is cutting too many corners thesedays!

Spares is not a problem, mine were fixed the same day. Had to wait 2 weeks for air con spare. Most SC outsource air con maintenance.

I've spent an afternoon and looked at few 308T, 408T, none in satisfactory condition.
Sure hope you guys here have better luck.

One thing though, some of the buttons like the 308T moonroof and the window switches seemed to have this sticky feeling. Does anyone do something about it?

This is where it gets rather confusing. EWP clearly states only engine & Gb are covered in it's booklet. The items you mentioned are beyond EWP limits.

As you have not had problem with claims beyond engine & Gb limits, then NAZA should amend it's EWP statement in order not to mislead customers.

I hope NAZA who I'm sure has eyes here, heeds this advice!

i'm a 207 own but i need all the sifus here help, my car recently had overheating issues and gear shifting got problem(as in won't shift into gear if engine is above 90deg C, had to press accelerate abit then it is "jump" into gear).

my warranty has expired...i remembered i saw somehere in LYN that somebody compiled a list of mechanics/wokshops for peugeot..please help PM or re-post it again...in dire need of help..thank you so much (T_T)

Already ask SC, they said both item not covered under EWP coz wear n tear...they quote me RM1900 for it

The tikus sound is from the timing chain. When it is slack it starts to hit the chain guide. The culprit is the chain tensioner. Tensioner should be changed every 60k or when necessary.

During a cold start ,until oil pressure buildup, the tensioner has not taken up the slack in the chain. As a result the loose chain is slapping around the chain guide.This is the tikus sound we hear. In a minute or a less after engine start, the sound should disappear.

If this rattling sound continues, your tensioner is faulty. Continued engine operation in this condition will lead to serious damage. It will be an expensive affair to put right.

Just a word of caution! Not all 408 which did the enhancements had tensioners changed.

Not for my case, mine is due to the broken air intake pipe and valve cover....my problem same as in this blog, if u dare to take the risk maybe you can just follow his guide     , save u almost RM500

In my case, the symptoms is i can hear loud air sound when release the throttle during hard acceleration or downhill...

Hey guys, just wondering if 408 also has the engine oil level indicator? Because as I see in the 308, it has the "oil ok" wording every time the car starts up where as our 408 does not. Since there's some owners here reporting their car having to consume engine oil, What are the indicators of knowing actually the car is consuming engine oil other than the dip stick which is also quite different than Japanese cars==. My car is 2 years old, no major problems so far and hope it will not have for the coming years lol…

I tried mine, it doesn't have that wording. Also I realized that the audio display, scrolling through the "mode" button, I should arrive at a page showing the car's data such as the trip meter as per the instrument cluster, however, there's none except for the usual radio display, clock and the Bluetooth display, do you know what's the problem?

Ooh is it? Ok, ya, mine is the turbo model. So for the "oil ok" wording should be in the instrument cluster display right? I'll ask the service center regarding this later. Thanks
