Generally continental cars have more failures compared to japanese cars, why?

Anyone had any problem claiming extended warranty (after 3rd year) for air con compressor?
Even after 3 weeks, there is no adjustor assigned to my claim for replacement at Puchong SC…..
Not sure if I should try going to Balakong     

Just back frm Sc, they told me that Upstream Oxygen sensor fault. Cost abt Rm900..... so expensive huh..... warranty expired edy......

They told not cover under extended warranty....i found outside selling Rm240 for after market n original is Rm395

But i m curious why so fast the oxygen sensor can spoilt....my mileage just 45k

Update regarding my aircon problem.  Called SC.  Told me that cooling coil problem.  Not compressor.  M confused.

2 days? my car got stuck for 1 week last year to replace the leaking coil

extended warranty cover engine and gear box, subjective.  So i guess sensor is not cover.

justt got new from nasim.more than 10k cars affected...gonna takes time to inform all of them.
but i leaked to you all...XDDD...before it goes official so that u all can go in book early.

peugot 408 NA nothing.

got recalled for peugeot 408 turbo...... for replacement of the water pump . found to have some issues and leaking.

as long as your car comes with plastic/fibre waterpump,you will be replaced with a metal type.
called your nearest sc and get the replacement....don't all go in at once...later long query no parts...later all world war 3.

You might also need to check the a/c gas level.. If its lower than usual, there might be leakage.. In my case, its the cooling coil and now under repair at Glenmarie also using EWP..

Guess what.. This is the  2nd time I'm changing the cooling coil. Wonder why same problem can recur in less than 2 years..😓

So to get your air-con fixed under warranty you have to leave your car in the SC for weeks? By the time it is repaired how long will it be, a month without your car? There is a saying to drive a Conti car you need to have a spare car. I thought it is an exaggeration but now....!

is it just me noticing reliability problems or our cars are aging?

My a.c. produces knocking sound when turned on. I hv 2 more days to 3 years . Any third party shops outside specializing in Peugeot a.c. in slang valley? I thought of getting a quick assessment first, if not.too expensive, I might just pay on my own. No time for sc.

Sorry la bro. Denso is  so screwed up, any amount of preventive maintenance will not help. It's based on individual luck. I was lucky, after 1st fix 2years ago, the air con is working fine & I'm on the 5th year. My suggestion would be change brand with ever mode necessary.

I just changed a new denso compressor and refill gas. 1.5 hour, friendly mechanic, no fuss. Just pay.
