Just ask anyone experienced car in SC for more than 1 week? My 18 months old 408 thp turbo has been sitting at Glenmarie SC for three weeks already. Facing problems of third brake light housing damage, roof lining drop, aircond breakdown, cooling system breakdown. Heard from them still waiting for spart parts.

Guys what do you do to avoid/mitigate a dead battery situation? It hasnt happened to me yet but from the posts in this thread, it sounds complicated to replace the battery.

Yes I would complaint to SC 1st. If unresolved, then I would go to Renautech. I feel continuesly going back to SC on reoccuring issues is a not in the best interest of my Pug. Its obvious they dont know what is happening. To make matters worst, most likely they mess it up further,ofcourse it's wrong to say all SC are useless! Then ppl start complaining Pugs are troublesome! There are ppl who say 'never another Peugeot'! Thats how messed up their car got! How come mine is on 6th year and running perfectly? No secret.....proper maintenance & she'll serve you well!

Fortunately I've not had serious issues and SC solved all my issues during warranty. Now I'm not interested in the 7year warranty, so go to Renautech for all my maintenance.

Is their service charge still the same or revised. How much does routine oil change cost?

Do engine flush do harm on the engine?

I've not done decarbo. My engine is running well, only 80k now. Will do decarbo at 100k as preventive maintenance. Right now on my list is major service at 80k,will go to Renautech.
Renautech does decarbo , cost $600/-

Slight correction. Renautech use Total, not Mobil1. Total > Mobil1

Then why don't you use total? It's the officially recommended oil for prince engine.

I have a 408 NA Y2016 , which I bought back in March 2017 during their clear stock promotion.
Needless to say there are few minor quality issues which they have finally resolved.

I would like to ask your opinion about on the best method to clean the front windshield.
Each swipe will still leave faint marks on the windshield. Tried cleaning the glass and wiper rubber but still won’t work.

Any idea beside changing the wiper itself ?

Hi guys, i am deciding on a pijot 3008, but would like to know in term of after sales service or spare parts. anyone can feed back here? as i heard from friends saying about spare part lead time will be 1-2 months. meaning to say if its something serious, car will be at workshop for next 1-2 months.

anyone have issues like this? or any other issues? please share.

Guys, I'm sure you guys have done the recall before right? Do they provide the courtesy car when my car is in the garage? Or is it depends on availability? Anyone with this experience?

after 6 months of ownership (used 2012 408t) and over 10k driving, i'm facing one problem only. Aircond! 2 months ago i sent to SC, they said gas is leaking but compressor is fine so its probably leaking at the cooling coil.  Funnily the cooling coil is new. it was just replaced when i bought the car under recall program. They fill up the gas and see how it goes. Now after two months, no more gas again.... There's a metallic ringing sound in engine bay driver side, the sound goes away when I turn off the aircond. Is this a sign of a problem with compressor? or the ringing sound is normal?

OK, but will it solve the aircond gas leaking problem?

Anyone of you manage to install subwoofer to your belowed 408?
If yes, do recommend me the workshop as it quite hard to find a accessories shop which is familiar with the wiring system of our 408...thx

Like I said, i feel the EWP is a con job. Peugeot France themselve have had a lot of complaints from Malaysian owners. As a result am glad that was scraped and replaced by 7 year warranty. Good you are able to claim.

I've made an appointment for cooling coil replacement next week. Thinking of reactivating 7 year warranty!

Its very simple. Just take your car for service. Enhancement package must be completed, which SC will complete if any outstanding issues. After service 7year warranty card will be issued. To keep warranty valid you must keep to 10k/6 months service limits. 

At present my warranty is void. I'm not sure to reactivate 7 year warranty. My consideration is in 6 months I do only 3-4kkm. In another 14months 7year warranty will end for me. I just did 80k major service outside, my car is running very well. Not sure if 7year warranty will serve any useful purpose for me!

Last time I had no confidence in EWP. One of the main reasons I stopped going to SC after 3rd year was due to poor quality of workmanship. Worst of all, some SC don't know what they are doing!

My car has been maintained much better at Renutech. Spares are not that expensive!

I'm going in for cooling coil recall. For sure gonna end up with 'tikus sound' when I get my car back.
