drove the 1.5T Civic just now, tried to pedal down but there is something holding it back to give u the kick back feel.  But this car serious quick of the line, effortless, feels that it is very powerful but just without the kick back fee.
NVH is excellent i would say.  Ride is softer than 408T.

I feel this car is going to clean sweep C segment sales. Mumpos la 408e!

Hi speedy, thanks for advise, as what sky pointed out, is this under warranty? To answer your question, no fault code was shown. Funny thing is I called the service centre the next day and they claimed my vehicle is normal when they test drove. How could that be? I've insisted that they do a diagnose and revert to me.
*
yeap you can claim it under extended warranty. The problem with these SC , they will only proceed with the claim if there is fault code or
if your are lucky when they test drive the jerks appears. I had this problem before, without fault code and SC said there is no
problem with the car. Few months later, the jerks appeared and i continue to drive and force the car to drive until the fault code appears!
and then SC recognize the error and replaced it.

Hi guys,

Just some update from me as it was a quite some time I didn't visit this page. I own 408 NA for four years now with mileage of 103k. I managed to claim my claim under the extended warranty for aircond problem (ie not cold) recently.

Total repair cost under warranty claim is as follows:
- Evaporator 1 unit RM1,984
- Aircond gas refill RM120
- Replace evaporator housing RM70

I lodged my complain in January 2016. It took awhile for the SC to process my claim. After few follow ups, SC finally called me to send in my car for adjuster's inspection in early June 2016. The approval process by the insurance company plus the repair took about two weeks plus.

Hi Pugbunny

Which SC you went for the air-con claim? Had been facing this issue for awhile now and none of the SC i went (Glenmarie and Puchong) can resolve it as they claimed no fault.

It is not cold while stationary and can only feel cold while the car is in motion for awhile. Any other Pug owners facing this problem to advise?

I went to Balakong SC and you may look for En. Hafiz. Few of thier service advisors had resigned recently, a bit difficult to get through thier phone sometimes.

Wah I don't mind paying this 5k more but it's too late already. My car was out last week. Only if I was told there was this model earlier. Sigh.

Went for my first long trip from JB to Genting two days ago. I notice my steering started to vibrate and the tyres were noisy when I hit 130kmh. The steering vibration was quite bad. Any kind advice here of what are the possible problems please? Thank you.

Hi hannibal, same thing happened to my 308 early this during extended warranty period. Got engine faulty error with engine was at high vibration and no power.

Sent my car to Kota Damansara SC. They managed to settle it without having to change my hpfp, saying that its the early sign fp starts failing. No reoccurence ever since.

I believe its covered under extended warranty as they were preparing for the paperworks concurrently when the car was diagnosed. I had claimed new compressor and windspeed sensor during my extended warranty period, so as long u abide with the service mileage requirement, should be no issue. Of course it is the waiting time that will kill u softly.

It is the high pressure fuel pump. My 3008 also same. One day, while in KD, engine fault came up. Sent car to KD SC and they only did an ECU reset. Car was ok for a while till my trip to Ipoh. Upon returning from Ipoh, engine fault came back and this time, car seriously underpowered. Can't go any faster than 90kph.

Went back to KD SC and found out I can't claim under Extended Warranty because previous owner (I was the 2nd owner) exceed last service by 40km. Appealed at Glenmarie and no avail. Finally, called up some friends and they recommended me Peug Auto in Glenmarie who replaced the high pressure fuel pump plus labor at RM 2k flat. No GST. Took the offer because car already down for nearly a month. If going there, look for Puru. Nice fella and formerly with Naza Peugeot. He shared many horror stories with Naza.

Since warranty over, I now service outside. More than 70% cheaper than Naza!

Tks for replying. It's stock Continental tyres. I thought wheel alignment would have been done when new car was delivered. Yes this car could easily go up to 170-180 if not for the vibration.

40km mileage exceeded and already void warranty? Wth.. i thought margin should be 500km even within extended warranty? I've claimed a few at Kuantan SC and my mileage was definitely way way exceed above 40km. Ridiculous.

I had the same vibration when slowing down from 130kph. Turns out both front discs have warped.

I'm going to claim this RM 2K back from the used car dealer because he signed a black and white stating car still under warranty when I bought it. Always get a black and white confirmation from the user car dealer whenever u purchase anything with extended warranty.

Check wheel alignment. Find a tyre shop near highway so they can do the testing.
Forget about SC. I think it is better to give RM60 to the tyre shop than wasting your whole day at SC without getting it solved.

If the steering vibrates when you press the brake pedal at high speed, then it is the disc problem.
If the steering vibrates when you reach high speed, then it is the wheel alignment issue (tyre could be a possibility as well).

Hi many thanks for your reply. Mine seems to be the 2nd scenario. Was told to send back to sc next week. Hopefully the wheel alignment and checking of tyres will not take too long.
Btw there was actually one more problem when I collected the car. The brakes gave out low grinding sound at low speed. I sent back to sc and was told that new brakes might be like this. Asked me to drive on and see if prob will go away. Now I m at 1000 km and brakes still have grinding sound at low speed. Any idea what's the problem?

Your aircon problem may be due to evaporator loosing cooling efficiency. SC is not equipped to handle this problem, you have to look for aircon specialist. Evaporator is not easy access on Pugs!

Coolant level at Min will not cause temp. rise. However it is adviserable to topup. You should get level low waning if coolant drops too low, but I wouldn't wait for that.

From day 1 for 4 years I have been complaining about coolant level drop. SC reply all this while has been, "checked no leak" and they topup coolant. They never answered my question "if no leak, where does the coolant go". My drop in level is about 10mm in 6 months. I have always suspected water pump and suggested to SC. SC come up with same reply " checked no leak".

Under the enhancement package water pump was changed. Guess what, my coolant level is constant now, no drop. It's only 3 months since the enhancement work, so I'm keeping a close watch.

It is possible to develop hairline cracks on heat treatment process( harding process of metal parts) during manufacture. I believe Peugeot QC picked out the flaws and proceeded with the enhancement package world wide. I value this effort by Peugeot greatly. It is certainly not an effort to falsify figures or delay tactics on impending defects.
