go for axia, why buy a decade car, its going to be prone for breakdown which is going cost you more money and create lots more problem.

Was a previous altis owner, it is a very smooth car, you wont even feel hitting 120km in no time but nobody in mind would be a decade + car.

Fc wise definitely axia, people who say that altis has better fc is talking out of their ass.

This is how i test the driveshaft,i drive on a steep hill and come to a stop,as i move the car while steering left or right, ocassionally it used to have krak krak sound. But after i replace the torn rubber boots and reapply new grease. The sound gone.Still,i would define this car as a good ride as it doesnt give big issues since the car is a simple car and easy to fix my own.

used to consider nissan sentra as well, but the way how they design the engine compartment doesnt make maintenance and  certain parts replacement easy.

Ultimately, its not only about good experience but also how they make it simple.Guess im not the majority because most people demand more features, this n that,so much sensors,so much headache.

Thanks for sharing that pro-tip man! Sentra's a pretty good car. It's just that Nissan cars don't carry a high resale value hmm.gif

The altis u go for a drive first

See smooth or not

I tested one before where the accelerator pedal not that smooth.. Like got stuck a bit when wanna start accelerate..
Other than that... See the condition..seats may need to put more sponge in.. Thats all biggrin.gif

Its safer than axia..more comfy for sure..
Oh yea..and those who say new car no problem or better and more reliable..those are not true.. My new car got problem till now the sc cant fucking solve em.. Keep calling them they say wanna get back to me but no reply at all.. Older cars on the other hand needs a bit more maintenance and care but then theyre proven that they can run and work well..

True enough. Oh well cars are man-made anyway. Just gotta hope for the best!

that car 13 years will have alot of major repair and overhaul

Uncertain, but highly possible in the near future in comparison to a brand-new.

been on sedans for more than 5 years. with hatchback as an extra because only 2 person. and now on hatchback.

if i were you, i'd choose the used car over the new axia.

comfort wise - a sedan will always be more spacious that a hatch. (i have quite long legs, thus my hatchback is now for 4 person include driver. the back of my seat is too small.

fuel saving - ever heard of higher cc cars will spend less fuel cruising on highway? although lower cc cars have better fc in town areas, my previous elantra 1.8 goes almost 400km half tank on highway. it was a 10 year old car. (note : axia 150km 1 bar? what speed were you driving at? 80kph all day? and whats the total mileage for THAT tank that u got 150km 1 or 2 bar.)

think of it, 150km DAILY. spend a bit more for your comfort. u need to be healthy and fit for your job.

better safety - i'm not sure about the airbags etc but, look at the pictures around the web. proton and peroduas. what are the results?

more power - you will sometimes need more power to go around. uphill, more passengers etc. why settling for lower cc when u can go bigger.

car maintenance can be hard, can be expansive but it will be worth it. take good care of your car. regular check ups, service with least modification will make your car last long.

new car got warranty. but then how long it would take them to replace it? no stock. no foreman that knows how to do it. it's not covered. this that. i've been there. repaired my water pump pipe (metal pipe) because of my exhaust lol.

just what i feel. i'd get the altis no matter what lol.

I see. Thanks for the insight but I think I'll pass on this deal and will see how things go! Who knows, what if kena durian shower brows.gif

Did you get the SE/ Advance? Might go for that one as it offers slightly better specs in terms of comfort.

Indeed, @Azusa_San

I'd vouch for a new car. My uncle has a 10-year Hyundai Sonata and although it feels comfy, repairs are just rclxub.gif according to him.

Get your money's worth by investing in a warrantable car.

TS - 'Would most probably be driving say, 150km for a return trip from work. Unless I plan to rent a place nearby, but we'll see. '

If u get Axia, i suggest you to stay near your working place. Driving Axia everyday 150KM, dont think will last u long even its a new car.

Haha might have to wait for 3 months' payslip first. Looking at a short loan tenure. To your knowledge, is 2 years likely?

Either that or, I take the bus from somewhere. Have given that a thought too. Parking fee + bus fare will total up to less than 20 bucks a day
